I've seen 3 or 4 episodes now, and I'm still watching. Russell Hantz is still Russell. I feel for his brother at times, but other times I just feel like he is a dumba##. I also feel for the realtor, but she knew who he was when she got into this.
I still like to see the flips, and the drama for now. :)
I also liked seeing Russell's kids.
Who's this "Russel" and why does he have a show?
I watched a few episodes the other week, but it seems to be all about the drama and less about the flipping. And Russell's brother IS an enormous dumbass for letting Russell walk all over him like that.
I'll stick to the other shows if I actually want to learn something about renovation. :ohno
I'll stick with Jeff Lewis. At least we get Jenni & Zoila.

Where have I been? I haven't seen a single promo for this show. And it's already several episodes in? I hate when that happens.
I'm glad that someone finally made a thread for this show. I had no intention of watching it, but DH recorded it and I watched out of curiousity. Some of the episodes are absolutely (though unintentionally) hilarious! Shawn, Brendon's dad, often has that "deer in the headlights" look that Brendon often had. Russell is a freaking maniac with total delusions of how smart he is and how all his "fans" expect him to act as "the master manipulator".
Russell has real anger issues and likes to throw things around when he's frustrated. In one episode the house they want to flip has a strong odor, partly because of the refrigerator looking like some bug ridden fridge out of an Extreme Hoarders show. they can't fit it through the doorway and, instead of removing the door from it's hinges Russell starts using a sedgehammer to crash off the door handles on the fridge. Of course they didn't think of tying up the fridge so it wouldn't fly open and now they can't keep it closed and are dying from the smell as they wrestle it out of the house without a dolly. DH and I were ROLF through the whole scene. It's like watching the two stooges. In another episode Russell decides to tear down walls and goes at it with his favorite sledgehammer. Then they notice a groaning noise from above and realize they've taken down a weight bearing wall and the roof is about to fall in. Everybody has to run like heck to get out of the house. Soooooo funny! In every episode something goes horribly wrong because they are idiots.
It seems as if Russell's wife is about done with his obsession to be famous and in one episode they are seperated. She complains that he used to be a family man, but since Survivor he's changed. And not for the better.
I'm hooked on this show. It's the funniest thing on TV.

I'm actually considering checking this thing out soon. Just one episode.
Neither one of the Hanz brothers are gifted in the area of smarts, but they (mostly Russell) make up for it in arrogance.
I never thought I'd be watching this show, but somehow it's got me hooked.
ok now you guys have me curious about this show. :) May have to watch.
