    Shahs of Sunset

I didn't see a thread for this show so, I took it upon myself to start one.

Did anyone catch this show? I guess you could say they're the "Housewives (or Househusbands or Men) of Persia".

I think Reza is flippin' hilarious!

I saw a couple of minutes of it tonight.
I am always astounded at how Andy Cohen can get people of any nationality, social standing, locale, social millieu, ad infinitum, to go onscreen and make total fools out of themselves for our amusement!

I watched it Sunday night but thought it was 'meh'. I have no interest to see any more episodes.

This cast may be Persian, but they're no different from any other Bravo casts with unlikeable, shallow narcissists who worship wealth and status. Bravo seems to check off a list of musts: the flamboyant, materialistic gay man; the shallow, the vain, materialistic playboy; the snobby, materialistic mean girl.

How cool would it be for a show to highlight some other subculture for a change? I used to live in Seattle, which has its own societal rules that would be fascinating to plumb. "Who's Snooki? I don't own a TV." "You've never been to the film festival, ever?" "Can you believe it, she's using paper grocery bags. How hard is it to remember your canvas bag? Seriously." "Bacon is in right now, but nitrates are out. I'm having a dilemma." "Quick, hide the People magazines and put out the New Yorkers before our guests arrive."

I'll be your show consultant, Andy. Call me.

I saw the entire episode today and I doubt I'll watch again.
THese people were even more over the top than the housewives. And that's saying a lot!!
Can anybody tell me what that really good looking guy is doing with Reza? He seems classy and reserved an the total opposite of Reza.

The high drama is what makes the uninteresting interesting.

I no more understand these people on this show than I understand the man in the moon. They seem tiring and boring.
