    Re: Shahs of Sunset

Oohhh! I thought she looked familiar, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out where I had seen her before.

I loved watching The People's Couch. It was a lot of fun to see most of these families and/or couples and/or friends getting together and watching TV. Sad to hear that it won't be returning.

Now that we are empty-nesters, my husband and I will watch Big Brother, Survivor, TAR, Alone, and some of the HGTV shows together but he refuses to watch my Bravo shows or any of the Bachelor/ette or Paradise deals.

    Re: Shahs of Sunset

I am starting to figure out why I enjoy shows like Shahs of Sunset, Vanderpump Rules, Below Deck, and Southern Charm a lot more than the Housewives series. I think it is because at least on the shows I mentioned, the people depicted still seem open to growing and changing. They make a lot of mistakes, and often seem shallow, materialistic, and vain, but to me anyway there seems to be room and a willingness for personal growth and change. I used to watch a few of the Housewives, but they seem so static to me. All they do is argue about petty issues, indulge in their materialism and vanity, and throw lavish parties that they don't seem to enjoy very much. What do other people think? Am I way off base here? I'd love to hear opinions.
    Thanks,

Gee...didn't mean to kill the conversation. Just disregard my post. I love reading people's opinions about this show so I'm hoping that people will start posting about it again. I think it's been a really interesting season so far.

I haven't seen this week's show yet. I have it DVR'd and hope to get around to it over the weekend.

My DH watched some of the show with me last night. He has only caught a little bit here and there before. He was completely HORRIFIED at the way MJ dresses. He said the she has put on at least 40 pounds since the last time he saw this and didn't buy any new clothes to accommodate the additional mass. I told him he should have seen the white outfit she wore a few weeks ago

MJ feels she looks good and Tommy thinks she looks good. I like she doesn't conform to a standard that says you have to be stick thin to be attractive.
