Yabbut, they probably don't want to spend that much money on this summertime filler show (to make it two hours). Hour and a half programming is always difficult, but ignoring that, it seems like a good length.
I agree that their teamwork and interaction is the more important part, and more interesting. Although the dynamics of dumping and chosing someone else is kind of interesting.
I sorta felt sorry for Miles being split from Heather (it was a no choice pick, since the male winner chose Heather), but otoh, Miles dumped his first week partner without a backwards glance. And I THINK, ironically, the girl he dumped is Erica -- with whom he is now paired. That might be an interesting dynamic. But I guess Erica calculated the odds when she held out from Peter, and now she's back with Miles. Rather awkward -- she likes him, he likes her but not as much as he likes Heather -- and may cause a meltdown.
