What amazes me is that Tony had a fiance, lost her and even while homeless was able to find another woman to date and then to marry. Amazing.

Re: Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition

I liked this episode a lot.
Last year I was pretty disappointed in the whole show. For an inspiring & feel good kind of show, I felt it was pretty much a downer. Too many people being given the opportunity of a lifetime & not taking full advantage of it. Complainers, whiners, excuse makers & people who wanted a magic spell to make them lose weight without changing their lives or bad eating habits. Then toward the end, even though they either gave up or got lazy, the show lopped off a bunch of extra pounds with "skin" removal surgery.

Tony was the first one who really took full advantage of what he was offered & really committed to this. He had his priorities straight. Even with all the trauma he went through in his personal life during his year, he kept his head on straight, & look how great it turned out for him!
He looked fantastic & seemed to have found a great supportive woman to share his life with.
I found his whole story inspirational.
I plan to watch next week. Hopefully this season will have more stories like Tony's.

Tony's ex-wife showed her "support" by showing up at the finale. If she really wanted to support Tony, she could have let him move in with her until he got his own apartment.

But didn't he say he didn't want to leave Woodland Hills? I don't think he would have moved in with her even if she did offer.

Tony was trying to establish his body guard business in California, kinda hard to do if he is living with his ex-wife, Cherry in Michigan. As it was Tony's current girlfriend Diana is the one who bought the airline ticket for him so he could attend his son's funeral.

I saw Tony on a news show this a.m. (can't remember which). He's still doing well. Apparently he's going to be a mentor on the show next season.

I'd like that. He & his story would be great inspiration for the others going through this. He "gets it".

I do think the show is too long at 2 hours make it 90 minutes as the last 20 to 25 minutes are a waste.
