Just a reminder that the season finale featuring Liv Tyler airs tonight at (I think) 8pm. Kind of bummed they changed the night since this means I'll have to watch OnDemand. Too many great things on Monday night AND I'm never home!

Oh no! I missed it. I'll have to check on demand as I really wanted to see it.

Great show. Kudos for the way Liv responded to her "blended" background. M'thinks she and Dad might have known the results before filming in order to plan their approach.

And wasn't the drummer connection fascinating!

Totally enjoyed Liv Tyler's story. To find the musician connection and specifically a drummer was very touching. The fact that her ancestor was present at Antietam and fought at Gettysburg and survived was impressive. The fact that she has a picture of her ancestor with the 17 children was the best.

They definitely saved the best for last with Liv Tyler's story it was so beautiful when you see how much of our ancestors good or bad can be coded in our DNA even when we don't know it.

I loved how personal and deep her reactions were. What a great story! How interesting that, so few generations later, the Elliot descendants didn't know about their African ancestry.

I agree I loved her reactions. I think though you will start to find a lot of people who don't know they have have that few drops of African blood. Take Ty Burrell for example they only had an idea due to a rumor in their family and it was like his great grandmother or grandmother so it was a fairly close generation that start passing.

Watched it last night and I actually teared up, especially when they showed her the picture. Such a great story!
