No, the Altman brothers grew up in Newton, Massachusetts. Josh went to Syracuse University in upper New York State. Josh is my favorite of the three.

It appears from Andy's show that the two Joshes had paired up and were socializing at the hotel where they were staying, having dinner, etc, but Madison was the one who steered clear. Josh A. asked him why and why he was still angry with his girlfriend. I wonder what else has happened.

Oh, they had a poll to see who the caller would chose to sell their house. Madison and Josh Flagg were very close Josh F on top, with Josh Atman coming in the very bottom. He got substantially lower votes than the others.

The thing about Josh Altman is that he seems to be in it much more for himself than the other two. You can totally imagine him screwing a client in order to get a deal that would benefit him. The other two seem more upfront and sincere. I'm not saying that any realtor is completely sincere and above-board but there are lines you don't cross-- but I'm not sure that's true for Altman--if he thought he wouldn't get caught.

Also, his cocky attitude and slick oily look just turn me off. I can't imagine why Madison's secretary dumped Madison to jump into Altman's arms--and couldn't understand why Madison was upset. But it made me think she was as ethical as JA was. I could see why Madison was mad-- although I think he's a little too touchy and stuck on himself too. But at least he has a sort of earnestness that tones him down.

My favorite is Josh Flagg-- he seem underneath some of the early glitz and glam and upscale world-weariness to be kind of a sweet guy. He feels basically on the level. And it's sweet that he and his boyfriend adopted a child. Grandma is the only Mother/Gandmother in the Bravo series that I actually really like-- sharp and acid-tonged, and always giving Josh the benefit her somewhat cynical point of view. She's so amusing and unique..

New York is just such a weird group compared to these. And that new New York guy-- Luis ? is just too too much. He always seems so avid everytime he seems to smell the scent of money-- or success-- as if he's on the verge of making a killing. I can just see him salivating at the thought. And it's just plain bizarre. The LA guys seem much more like real realtors--- not characters assembled in a casting call to play realtors-- and they run the gamut-- including Josh Altman who, despite being unappetizing, seems like a real type.

Maybe Madison's secretary (can't remember her name) is with Josh A. because of what he can do for her? I noticed in the last episode she walked into the home she shares w/Josh A, carrying a Hermes Birkin bag (prob a 30K bag).......she is also learning a lot more about real estate being with him.

I swear that Madison had the listing on the house he just looked at in a previous season.

So, the one bedroom house (26M) is not actually Marissa's house, although it used to be her family's home. Marissa is the seller's agent. I am glad that the buyer is going to tear it down and rebuild. It is surely going to be something more sensible.

People KILL me trying to control what buyers do with a house after purchase. The arrogance is amazing. Keep your stooopid house if you have stipulations!

It's kind of like a dog with a bone.
