    School Pride

Am I the only one watching this??
    I just love it.
Every week this team seeks to rebuild a school - with the help of the community - that's either been devastated by some natural disaster, or just fallen victim to numerous budget cuts.
I don't know if it's the ex-teacher in me, or just that it's so inspirational for the kids and the community.
    It's on NBC on Fridays.

I watched most of the latest episode and frankly I was moved emotionally to see this happen. I think the best was Miss Candy who I believe had said she didn't know how she was going to continue teaching after what happened.

    She was terrific, wasn't she??
And she had 8 kids of her own!!

I love the fact that they are showing teachers who care.
As an ex teacher, I am quite tired of so many who say that teachers are bad and/or really don't care about their jobs/the students.
In any profession, that is true of some, but just doesn't bear relevance to the majority of teachers.

My daughter is 8 & loves this show. I watched the 1st episode & liked it, but I have lots of other TV to watch. We'll get up in the morning to find that she is watching it. I hope it inspires her to be proud of her school & that not everyone is as fortunate as we are.
