I'm sorry about that! TAR stands for The Amazing Race. I'm a crazy abbreviator.

I'm liking this show more and more, especially now that we're getting to know the guys a lot better. I think the Reichen and Rodiney storyline is the most heartfelt to me because they both really seem like good guys who love each other but just can't get on the same page as to how to make their relationship work in order to become long-lasting and happy for both of them. And Derek is a real cutie too, who also seems like such a good guy. I felt so bad for him when his new heartthrob Roberto stood him up.

I really like this show. Don't care AT ALL for Reichen, but I never liked him since TAR, thought he was a wanna-be famewhore way back then. He is not very well thought of in the West Coast gay community. According to my friends...

I really like Rodiney. He is amazingly hot. Gotta love South American men, just a shame he is a pinch hitter for the other team. He is clearly too old to have a successful modeling career, but he might be able to get some commercial work or instead of going for the gay driven side of modeling/fashion, broaden it to a bit more mainstream. His look is a little 5 years ago, though.... But emotionally he draws me in, maybe because I have been in similar relationships that he is in, I just feel for him. Poor guy.

I like Derek a bit....but he is a little too over-the-top for top's sake. I have gay friends and not one of them ever has me announce to others at his party how beautiful he is, yada yada yada. Gays are really not that superficial.

And Austen is icky. Still riding in the coattails of being Marc Jacobs ex. Icky.

I'm so glad that Reichen and Rodiney are back together again. I was surprised (and pleased) at Reichen's show of tears and sadness (finally) at the thought of his breaking up with Rodiney. He seems like a genuinely good guy, and it was nice to see that he still had deep feelings for Rodiney. And Austin!! What a piece of work that guy is! The way he maligned Rodiney was really malicious and nasty! I mean, you can't totally blame him for being jealous and hurt that Reichen is choosing someone else instead of him, but jeez, have a little class Austin! And maybe you should remember the old adage: you get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar!

I agree completely!!! Reichen is the only one on this show I just absolutely can't stand. He's so fake and phony and I'm hoping in the end Rodiney will see Reichen for who he really is and leave him behind.

Anyway, Reichen getting everyone together to announce that he and Rodiney were back together was so over the top and unnecessary. Like the blond guy said, it was something that could have completely been covered with a text and in no way needed to be made into such a huge production. Anybody know how the ratings are for this show? I'm hoping there will be a season 2!

I really love this show. My two favs are Austin and Derek.

I'm so over Reichen. I did have to laugh at him being so shocked that he was dropped from the play. Like really dude? Could you honestly not see how much you sucked?

Rodiney is just such an emotional person. He would have to be emotionally draining to have as a bf.

Here's the original The A-List New York thread, from last season. Perhaps we can join the two A-List threads together.

I'm so glad it's back for Season 2, and I'm liking this season much better than the first season. I feel that, just as with the multiple Real Housewives franchises, I've gotten to 'know' these characters a lot better now, and I really like where most of them are going. Last season was so dominated by Austin's horrible personality antics and his rage against Rodiney, and this season they're dealing with him in a healthier, more productive way, I think. I like the storylines, and all in all, for me these guys are a whole lot more fun/interesting/palatable to watch than the vicious mean-girls on many of the other shows.

    Girl, this crew is hilarious!

Ryan is the sneakiest queen of them all, working on Derek and Austin driving them further apart and picking up the pieces for himself. That is one evil little bee. Not that I should complain, Austin and Derek are both toxic.

Austin so wants to get into Reichen's pants, it's so pianfully obvious. Loved it when he chimed in last episode when TJ got to go to Hawaii with Reichen and they explained it as TJ never having been to Hawaii. Austin was a bit too eager and quick to tell them he had never been to Hawaii either, like a desperate attempt at getting an invite to join Reichen to the land of Luaus.

I love Jake, but him being with that drama hog is sort of unbecoming, I'd love to see him interact with the other guys instead of being "Austin's husband" or "that guy in the background who doesn't add to anything".

Derek dumping his skeezy creepy sugar daddy was sort of a tragic moment of empowerment. In Duncan's defense, after four months of dating, the guy in front of you tells you that you're going way too fast when you talk about being boyfriends. How would you react? I think that's the point where Duncan said "screw this mal-function in front of me, I just gave him a designer watch, he doesn't want to get serious, then neither do I!"

Derek picked him, praised him up to high heavens like his sh** don't stink, only to cut him off at the knees by being an issue-riddled queen. All of a sudden the guy is a no-go area for everybody. Nasty old sugardaddy or not, Derek is the guy who's making drama. Still, Austin should have not invited the guy if he and Derek are really such good friends.

Next episode we'll see where it's going to end up.

Rodiney is still hilarious, poor guy, even with the subtitles he's just plain incomprehensible. But who cares, he's pretty to look at.
    This is not a signature.

Re: The A-List - New York (Logo)

My faves are still Reichen, Rodiney and Mike (and for me, Mike doesn't get enough camera time). I'm sorry that Reichen and Rodiney aren't 'together' anymore, but I do like that they are still close and can remain friends, with Reichen still being very protective over Rodiney. Maybe I'm missing something, but I think all three of them are really good guys.

Cairon, your comments about Ryan being an evil bee really surprised me cause I really hadn't thought of him that way. The jury is still out for me, but I will be watching him more closely now, for the signs. I do think he was smart to recognize that his friendship with TJ was being destroyed by their working relationship and that he needed to let TJ go --- and TJ, who is a little pathetic and scared, will probably be on much more secure ground once he finds himself, if he can.

Derek, Derek, Derek! He is such a cute guy, and on the surface seems to be really nice as well, although you can really see the bitchy, arrogant edge to him if things don't go his way --- like his original reaction to Austin last season, and his dinner with his wealthy older potential boyfriend this season.

And speaking of Austin, I totally don't get Derek's friendship with and loyalty to Austin. Austin is a vicious slug and it's hard for me to see anyone being loyal to him. I feel so sorry for Jake, who we don't know well yet because he's been merely in the background, but he seems like an honorable guy who is in love with his husband and just wants Austin to be normal and reasonable -- and not a 'fluffed' porn model! Seems like a reasonable request to me. . .
