As I watched the episode, I had the same feelings as many - impressed with her popping out a 9+ pound baby without painkillers or noise, then her offer to be a surrogate for Meri and Kody to have another baby, but then . . .
The more I thought about it, the more disgusted I became. When Robyn said she wanted to talk to Meri "alone," and even made Kody leave the room . . . if this wasn't a "made for TV" moment, why was the production crew allowed to stay during this incredibly private moment when Robyn offered to serve as a surrogate? IMO, Robyn and Kody had planned this (the two who seem the happiest about having every moment of their lives on TV), but Meri did not know until that moment what Robyn was going to say. Kody would not have allowed this "alone" moment unless he knew it would eventually become all about him in some way.
IF the visits to an in vitro specialist, implantation, pregnancy, etc., become the feature of future episodes, we have gone from a series about polygamy to the manipulation of human life for the benefit of making money - kind of like Kate Gosselin. And it wouldn't surprise me if that's exactly what happens. They have plans to buy a cul de sac to build four adjacent houses . . . gotta keep the TLC money coming in somehow. I am officially done with the Browns.
