I read recently that the Browns suffered some tragedy. Since it hasn't aired on the show yet, I'll put it in spoilers.

I read that Cody's brother was killed in a motorcycle accident and days later his father died. Very sad news. His brother was killed in June and his dad died in August of this year. I wonder how I missed that when it happened.

You probably missed it because you have a real life. I, on the other hand . . .

I just saw this in the Salt Lake Tribune. It's about a court case involving the Brown family. Since I don't watch the show and I don't know if this is part of the storyline, I'm putting it in spoiler tags.

Soltice and Yule have nothing to do with religion. Christians tagged Dec 25th (yule) with Jesus' b'day because they did not know when he was born. Soltice and Yul are two seperate celebrations.

Everyone is free to celebrate Christmas and Easter as religious but to criticize those who celebrate it otherwise is annoying.

    I didn't say this clearly.

There is room for everyone to celebrate every holiday as the choose, of course! To make the way another person chooses to spend any holiday serves no one.

This is the time of year I hear many say, xmas has become too commercial, let's get back to the real meaning of the holiday, we "should" celebrate the birth of Christ, etc. Well it isn't the birthday of Christ to those who do not embrace that religion; they celebrate its pagan roots.

I think all that the ruling actually does is make it so cohabiting isn't illegal. It doesn't actually make it OK to be legally married to more than one person, but the polygamists don't have legal marriages, anyway, except to the first wife. It's kind of tricky these days, I would think, to have actual laws that impact polygamists but don't impact monogamous folks who are just "living in sin."
