C'mon Kate. Is plastic surgery really a diet?
I'm no Kate fan, but I don't think this is necessarily the case. She was very enthralled and loving with her kids early on. THat's one of the reasons the show took off. She and Jon were charming in how they dealt with he kids - very charming. About the time she physically transformed with the plastic surgery and hairdo is about the time when things changed. Kate fell in love with the media. Based on what I've read about her childhood, teen and young adult years, and then what she expected the world to give her after having sextuplets, it's clear to me that she's always ben a self-entitled you-know-what. It just went off the charts after the physical transformation and ensuing public adoration.
I do, however, think she loves her kids very, very much - as does Jon.
Reg. Maddy....A bit of tough love and experience in the hard-knock ways of life is not a bad thing. Kate and Maddy and everyone else on the planet need to realize they don't always get what they want. Tough to swallow now, but in the end, Maddy will hopefully be stronger for not having gotten what she wants.
Thing is I don't really care what this woman does.
The Scoop - What will Kate Gosselin do without reality TV?
I don't like the vile woman, but I'll be watching to see what happens to her.
Reg. that article....come on! Who wears 3" hills (with shorts no less) and a cleaveage showcasing blouse to a tourist destination? What a self-absorbed prima donna. And, there ain't no way Kate walked any length of time in those shoes. She was clearly dressig for the camera.
And, reg. Spencer and Heidi....I never watched that show or got to know either of them beyond antics repeated in the press. Spencer seems to have clued in that it's all smoke and mirrors. I thought I read where he enrolled in college?
Hope so. He'll need it.
...poor Heidi. She was so much prettier prior to the surgeries.
Gee . . . maybe she's found the theme for her next reality show. Kate's Extreme Coupon Show
=============================
Raising eight kids isn't cheap!
Kate Gosselin was spotted stocking up on essentials at Bed, Bath and Beyond Thursday in Reading, PA, and the thrifty 36-year-old was wisely trying to save a few bucks with money-saving coupons.
"Kate Plus 8's" last episode aired in September, but Kate's still got to put food on the table for 11-year-old twins Mady and Cara and 7-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel.
"I've never shopped at Bed, Bath and Beyond WITHOUT coupons!" she said on Twitter Friday. "I've returned with my receipt and a coupon many times, even when 'not broke.' LOL!"
Asked during her final show what was next for her, the single mom (who finalized her divorce to Jon Gosselin in 2009) sighed and laughed: "I hope I have a job! I don't know what's next."
She added that the future "probably" involves TV. "I would love to continue," she said. "And is this the last time you'll see my kids on TV? Probably not. I know that there's a lot of people out there who genuinely really care how each of my kids turn out. You'll see my kids -- they'll grow up and do great things."
If ex-hubby Jon has anything to do with it though, the Gosselin brood won't be back on the air anytime soon. He told Radar he was "very relieved" when TLC cancelled "Kate Plus 8." "I hope they can have more private family moments," he said. "I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future."
And this is why so many people (including child advocate Paul Petersen, who Kate just recently criticized) have expressed such concern about filming personal, private moments of children on reality TV:
From 15 Minutes, Gosselin Style: BREAKING NEWS: Former Jon and Kate Plus 8 writer and editor arrested for child pornography
"A large bust in North Carolina included the arrest of William Johnson Blankinship, credited by TLC as Bill Blankinship, who is listed as a writer, editor and on-line editor for Jon and Kate Plus 8 from 2007-2009 and an on-line editor for Kate Plus 8 from 2010-2011.
"Blankinship also worked on 19 Kids and Counting, Sister Wives and Table for 12, three other TLC shows about children.
"According to authorities, "Operation Spyglass" resulted in the arrest of 24 men over five months on felony charges ranging from the possession and distribution of child pornography to indecent liberties with a minor. Several of the men will be charged with felonies and could face prison time."

There is no indication that he was part of the film crew; however, he had access to thousands of hours of footage of the Gosselin children.
Kate's tweeted response to this information: "NEVER HEARD OF HIM!"
Well, Kate. If I just found out that someone who had access to film of my children (some of which showed them naked and using potties) was just arrested on felony charges (10 counts) of child pornography, I would be a TAD upset whether I heard of him or not.
Well that's pretty disturbing.
I do find it pretty blatant for reality shows to actually credit "writers"....is there anyone left who thinks reality shows are "real"?
Oh good Lord on the whole thing!!!
