    Re: America's Got Talent

The results are in and have been revealed! Four move on and six are out. Next week the four will perform and one will win.

    The results...

Smage Bros. Riding Shows vs Team iLuminate

I think this is an easy one.

    Advancing: Team iLuminate

Alright! Three more places to go. Since they seem to be doing what they've done last season, I think we'll be getting a pair of acts up on stage where neither will move on.

    Next up...

Miami All Stars vs Lys Agnes

Uh oh. I'd love for Lys to make it but I think this is the 0/2 pair-up. Sucks though because I like Lys and she seems quite upset...

    Advancing: Nobody

Argh. Expected but sad. When Lys first came on the show at the auditions I wasn't that interested, but the more we saw her the more she grew on me. Congrats on making it this far.

    POPLYFE vs Landon Swank

Another uh oh. Both? No that won't happen. Can it? Nick, again, announces that there was less than 1% between the two of them. Again this is a give-away. Unless the voting results were really really tight between two of the Final Four, the act that's moving on here finished fourth of the four. Or they both go on. But that won't be happening.

    Advancing: POPLYFE

Thought so. We'll see how they do next week.

Silhouettes vs West Springfield Dance Team

Again, another easy one. Let's make it official.

    Advancing: Silhouettes

    Woo! Yay!

Now I am worried, though. Anna and Landau are up against eachother. Not long after the show ended last night I would have thought Landau was a lock, but was Anna's fanbase strong enough to keep her in? Let's find out...

Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. vs Anna Graceman

    Advancing: Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.

Yes. I am definitely happy to see Landau in. But kinda sad to see Anna leave. She did well.

Also featured in this episode were Il Divo who I actually thought were good, and a naked Howie Mandel, which will probably get some complaints.

My predictions this week were 4/4. I think we got a good finale. Doesn't mean that I'm rooting for all of them, cause I ain't, but we got the two most unique dance groups, my personal fav singer this season (if not Lys), and... POPLYFE. Who are good, I suppose. But I still don't think they are great. And if they really were 4th this week then it'll be tougher for them, I think.

My thoughts on the Final Four are short:

Landau or iLuminate should win. Them being the Top 2 would be the icing on the cake. The other two winning, for me, would ruin what could have been a great winner. I can't remember any of Landau or iLuminate's performances I didn't love, basically. Or like quite a bit, at least. The other two, oh yeah.
My hopeful placements aren't too specific either. It's basically my top two for 1st/2nd and the other two for 3rd/4th.

By the way, where were Def Leppard? I thought they were supposed to be on this week? Next week then?

Oh wow! I was so excited that Landau made it through, but having to go up against Anna was just cruel. You could tell that he couldn't really enjoy the moment because he was taking the dream away from an 11 yo. Stupid producers for doing that!! I wanted Landon and Smage Brothers to go on, and not real happy about Silhouettes going through. It is fascinating to watch what they do/create, but to watch for an hour or hour and a half? I don't think so. Hopefully Iluminate win, although they don't need to win.

I thought since they had Landau and Anna up together again that it may be a surprise Top 5, not Top 4. Guess not. Anna has plenty of time to 'make it'. This may be Landau's only chance.

It seems this will be a close race between Illuminate and Silouettes. Illuminate is the clear winner in my book and if they claim second place they will still succeed in getting a Vegas show, I bet.

And I'm done for the season. The only act I'm remotely interested in is Poplyfe, and they don't have a chance anyway. I suppose I'll be watching with my family because they like iLuminate and Silouettes, but since both I can't tolerate either act, (iLuminate is a boring gimmick to me and sillouettes are the tackiest thing ever)... perhaps I'll find another tv to watch.

It was fun dicussing the season with you all.

    I hear you.

I loved Illuminate until their last performance. It was just okay. I still like them and see potential. When a dancer does back flips that is all that it is. In previous performances they did a better job. I do think they can create a very grand show with help on this concept. With a Vegas Casino behind them to goose it up, an hour show would work and be something to take your kids too, as well.

Sillouettes, no. A good dance troop could and has in the past pulled this off very well, but an hour of this is way too long. They are a short act in a Broadway production at best. And that is with dancers who can do a better job.

POPLYFE is likely to see some success after this show. Landau is questionable. Not sure how many people would want to sit through an hour of crooning.

I adore how Landau is so good with kids.

    Re: America's Got Talent

I was disappointed they put Anna and Landau together. You could tell how upset he was beating out an 11 year old girl from her dreams. They'd been better off splitting up the dance teams with one of the singers - Silhouettes with Anna, and WSDT and Landau.

That said of the final four the one who'd have most success post show in Las Vegas is iLuminate. That said, this is their competition to lose now as they will have to step it up for this final performance. This week's was still entertaining, but compare it to the arcade one or love story... it pales.

Silhouettes did much better this week; however, I do not think they'll win based on their unevenness in skills. Some days they're hot but many they're not.

Landau could win, but again don't know if he'd carry a whole show... on his own. He could be seen in a group a la "the Rat Pack," which pays rather well.

Poplyfe is probably the only surprise for me this week. They stepped it up again; however, with their age this Las Vegas show could do more harm than good. They will have success I think post show.

What I do find refreshing is three of the four acts are NOT soloists, which have tended to win this competition. And, the one singer here is pretty good and wouldn't be too disappointing if he won.

That said, I wish Lys hadn't had the flubbed note - I think she could've beaten Poplyfe in the end.

Michael Buble seems to have pulled it off pretty well in the entertainment biz today. I'm sure the right handlers could put together a dynamite show and career for Landau, as well.

Except the quality of Buble's voice is far ahead of Landau. So far, for me, Landau is a just do covers act. So I've heard it all before. Cool to watch, kind of, but that quickly wore off.

Of the four, I feel like Landau winning would be the biggest travesty of all. Well, him and Sillouettes. Mind you, this is all subjective and personal... but the Silouettes make me want to puke on a regular basis, and Landau is just, like I said, a guy who does covers, and not well enough for my liking. :p
