I'm so glad you mentioned this! I put JO on and it was a re run from last week. I switched the channel to something else. I read your post and went back to look at the guide, sure enough, there is a new epi after the re run!!

As soon as the episode has aired on the East coast, you can post about it without spoiler tags. Those of us who haven't seen the episode yet either need to avoid the thread until we see it or risk spoilers!

IA, it was a great show. I was FLOORED to see the oversized coffins...and then I got really depressed. The dance at the college was so hokey yet cool at the same time. I love Jamie's passion and was happy to see him accomplish what he did this episode. When the Gov. showed up and surprised him, DH said that he hopes we'll see Pres. Obama make a surprise visit as well. I'd prefer to see Michelle, as she's the one in charge of the White House's vegetable garden. THAT would be a great endorsement for Jamie.

Did anybody see Friday's new episode?

If not, I guess I'll wait 'til they repeat it on Friday.

Jammie seemed to make a lot of progress in the last episode: he got the high school kids eating his food, found out the food distributor stocked fresh food and would help work on the budgeting, and was making inroads with the local hospitals for funding support. You can watch it on Hulu. The currently have all five episodes up; I got caught up on the first couple I'd missed over the weekend. I'm still stunned the little kids didn't know what a potato was or that fries came from potatoes.

I saw most of it. Jamie was playing up to the head of the local hospital, trying to get a $150,000 donation to his program. He introduced the guy to Alice, the mean lunch lady, who he was afraid would ruin the whole effort with her usual negative attitude. But surprise! She actually expressed some support for Jamie's efforts. We don't know yet if Jamie got the money. There was also some other stuff going on about where the food comes from for the lunch program and exactly what is available. Jamie went to a huge warehouse to talk to the manager about getting more fresh food. He found out it's available, and the schools don't have to be sent unhealthy foods like chicken nuggets and frozen pizza.

    Re: Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution

This is one of my favorite shows! I love Jamie and his enthusiasm is just infectious. It's exactly what I need to see on a Friday night after a craptastic week at work. I am so sad tomorrow is the season final. Only 6 episodes

Personally I find these humane mouse traps rather ineffective. Better to lay down some glue and when you hear the critter scream you take a shovel to his head.

So what happened in the finale?
