Curious.
I believe DNA is always performed but not necessarily always aired they kind of do a storyline and only if it enhances the the story. Usually with people of African Ancestry you can only use DNA to go back due to Slavery. It's call the wall.

^^^ agreed. They all had pretty clear European backgrounds, so the DNA probably showed 90+% in 1 direction. Not illuminating.

After watching the latest episode with Carmelo Anthony et al, I really appreciate the way viewers learn historical facts that probably weren't taught in school but which obviously impacted the subject's personal history.

Watched Tea Leoni and Gaby Hoffmann's stories on demand this morning.....amazing. Two examples of what discoveries that can be made almost solely on DNA detective work....I just wish I could break down my brick wall like they did.

My husband and I watched this last night. It was jaw dropping! I figured there was no way they’d find the real relatives but amazingly they did!

It's pretty amazing what they can do with DNA research these days. It's exciting, and it also raises a lot of questions in terms of right to privacy of those who gave children up for adoption. I don't think it's so much an issue if that person is dead, but it can be pretty complicated no matter what.

This episode was very interesting, and unique to the way they had to trace their roots. That DNA testing really came through, and the way that CeCe researched the trees to come up with relatives was amazing! I always learn so much from this show, about history and human nature. What a fun job they have!
