I would have liked this so much better if they set it up like a class to teach different cooking skills, and sure flavor too, and then had them cook a meal.
But they have been teaching them various skills...we saw part of the "how to hold/use a knife" class (Anne wrote on forefingers with marker when they put theirs on the top of the blade). We just don't see everything.

Most children are not going to even try the food they have been cooking.

You have a point.... my son would but he was eating sushi at 5! I jsut think if I had no idea how to cook, I would want some family pleasing recipes that I could go to, THEN, I would try to branch out once I was confident enough.

The goal in the show is to get 2 of the worst cooks to be able to fool a panel of judges at the end of the competition. I doubt any of them are learning actual recipes that they'll cook for their families, but I'll be they come out of it enthused enough and inspired enough to try to learn more on their own and to become better cooks down the road. I wish them all good luck!

I'm really enjoying the show - maybe I relate to it a little, lol!

It was nice that they were able to redo their original recipes. Like the two who are left!

I think they picked the right 2. Both of them listened and have accomplished a lot. I am suprised there will be a 2nd season of this show. At least they are taking nominations.

My favorite episode of the season. [No matter what the show, I love the family episodes.] Also, it was nice to see the improvement in all of the contestants. Doing a 3-course meal for the final challenge, organization and time management will be key factors.
