Eww, that Emanuel thing was gross!
Also, what if this guy had been trying to start a new life, with a decent job, instead of porn star? Those two guys found out, he wasn't disclosing it until they "outed him". I think it was completely wrong for the chef, who was supposed to be his teacher and mentor, to ask him to do it. It was degrading to everyone there. And, the way Tracy responded made me sick! I'm sure she wouldn't have been cool with male students fondling the females.

The problem with this show is that this has been done rather well by Chef Ramsey and it is on too late for me. It would be OK TV viewing to watch but when I need subtitles to understand what is being said it takes away from the whole learning experience.

I like this show a little bit more than Hell's Kitchen because Chef Ramsey constantly swearing & screaming at the top of his lungs gets old quickly. This show is more toned down.

Yeah I think this premise is ENTIRELY different from Hell's Kitchen. So I don't think the problem is that it's already been done well by Ramsey, but that it's trying too hard, like numerous other Bravo shows (Launch My Line, The Fashion Show).

If they would get the focus off the porn star, and back onto the school, it would be immensely better in my opinion. Here's hoping for 3 fails for Emmanuel and Traci. If they asked a female to "perform" in the same manner as Emmanuel, and a fellow classmate treated her that way ....!

I think this show has the potential to be much better than Hell's Kitchen because (IMO) this guy is more likeable, there is less screaming and cursing, and he actually tries to teach them. Plus, someone does not go home every week and they have control of their own destiny by passing the tests. They need to do a better job with production and take out the sleaziness and they will have a good show. Personally, I find the subtitles unnecessary. I can understand him just fine.

Doubt if Emmanuel will be sent home any time soon even if his food does suck because there's not much else going on except him. Honestly - I can only remember about 3 out of the 9 or 10 students names, that's how boring they are. But I do like this show!

Some of the recipes are up on Bravo's website. We're going to try that bread recipe...it's completely different from any bread recipe I've ever seen, and I want to see if I can pull it off :-)

Really? I've never tried to make anything like that before, but I might give it a try.

I really wanna make some bread too (off the Bravo website) now that I finally busted out my KitchenAid Mixer from last XMAS!
