I sat up my twitter account for my laptop. And I did to follow only one person and that is Robert Plant, but he doesn't tweet! lol I do get random tweets throughout the day. I'm not sure why. lol

So I guess Amy and Matt have separated. Sad, but not surprising.

How sad and right at Christmas (by the clip).

Thanks for posting this update, candor.

Looks like a "Special" is to be aired March 25 at 9 p.m. on TLC.

I think they need a time apart.

Things were just getting too nasty between them.

It is not a shock. I think the reality show part helped contribute but what surprises me is that neither of them seemed (at least from what we saw) to ever use the show itself as a mirror on their own actions. Couldn't Amy see how nagging she was? or did she feel justified? Couldn't he see the flaws in his personality? Anyone watching can. To think that they had editorial control, makes you wounder what was left out. Not judging here at all, just surprised that the first few seasons didn't help them.

Of course part of this is the "empty nest" feelings they seem to have even though they still have Jacob at home.

BTW, TMZ is also covering it now:

Yep . . . being treated like an outsider and disrespected on TV by your wife and at least one of your kids will do that to you.

I bet it's a relief for both of them. Of course, Amy has to say it was Matt's choice. He's the one who left. We know Amy. She is blameless.

I wish them and the kids all the best. And I hope to see some more specials. I guess we'll get to see the final breakup when Matt moves into the guest house. Something told me when Matt suggested they get that mobile home that it was going to come in handy! lol Living on the same farm should be no problem, until one wants to start dating.....then it will not be pretty.

Sad but not unexpected news. After watching the clip I, again, shake my head at how self righteous Amy continues to be. It's her biggest and most unattractive flaw.

That said, I am looking forward to the special on March 25th and I honestly wish them well.

I can see Matt moving on and being happy with the right person. Amy, not so much.

Amy reminds me so much of my sister. Always playing the "martar". Never sees what a bitch she really is. Has to be in control of everything and have her kids totally dependent on her. Stays in an unhappy marriage just so she can say she stuck it out and of course blames the husband for everything wrong in their marriage. What a miserable existance!
