I couldn't believe Bure was in the bottom 2...that just wasn't right. I might have to throw a few votes their way. Thank god for the "skate off" so the judges can make a final decision. I love them all, but that wasn't even close.

Actually, I was really surprised by both Bure and Courtnall being in the bottom 2. I can't remember what their scores were (I watched it at 5:00 on Monday morning ), but I was sure they would both be getting beaucoup de fan votes.

IA canuck, that wasn't even close. I hate to say it but I wonder if the Russia Canada rivalry is showing its colours. Clearly IMO Bure/Gordeeva was the best pair on Sunday, they shouldn't have been in the bottom two. Bure looked like a natural on figure skates.

I like that the judges get the final say in the skate off.

I hope it's not the Canada/Russia rivalry. All the money goes to Canadian charities. Maybe, they were so good that people thought they were safe. I hope that's it. We'll see this week, I guess.

I really liked Theo and Jamie tonight and thought they should have scored a little higher, even with a little blip on a lift.
Loved seeing the romantic side of Theo. I think they have a great connection and their chemistry is really building nicely.
I'm enjoying Roenick as a judge too.

Wow, Katia and Val, very impressive. I really hope they won't be in the bottom two again.
Hope the public will get behind them.

I voted for Val and Katia. I thought they were excellent. He isn't as emotional as some of the other skaters, like Theo, and Patrick, but the skating was phenomenal.

    Re: Battle of the Blades

I liked Theo and Jamie's routine best, even with the flub, but as someone who never watches figure skating I'm tending to watch from a more emotional perspective than a technical one. And, of course, Theo is my favourite so I just tend to think he's best anyway .

Here's part of the CBC review posted on their site, Battle of the Blades
Skating to "Look of Love" by Shelby Lynne, and skating for Cardiac Kids and Compassion Canada, respectively, Gordeeva and Bure landed the first double-throw element in Battle of the Blades history. The pair was rewarded further with a standing ovation from the studio audience.
