    Extreme Makeover preview, 5/7 Episode

"Episode 104" - Follow the journeys of Amy, a painfully shy 29-year-old cake decorator from Lafayette, IN, looking for the courage to open her life to new horizons, and John, a 56-year-old florist from Olathe, KS, who would like to stop being mistaken for his two year old child's grandfather, from their "before" phases, as they undergo various procedures, to when the "after" results are revealed for the first time to their family and friends. We will also follow up with Kine and Tammy from the first episode in the new series for an update on the tremendous changes that have occurred in their lives since the show, on "Extreme Makeover," WEDNESDAY, MAY 7 (10:05-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Amy and John were given a truly Cinderella-like experience, as they were able to change their looks in an effort to transform their lives and destinies and to make their dreams come true. This was all accomplished through the skills of an "Extreme Team," including a plastic surgeon, an eye surgeon and a cosmetic dentist, along with a talented team of hair and makeup artists, stylists and personal trainers. The "Extreme Team" changes every week, and this week introduces new experts and professionals who are the top of their respective fields. Additional information about the "Extreme Team" can be found at abc.com.

Amy's procedures included a nose job, lower eye lift, breast implants, teeth whitened and porcelain veneers.

    Amy's "Extreme Team" included:

    * Dr. Malcolm Alan Lesavoy, a prominent board-certified plastic surgeon in California

    * Dentist Dr. William Dorfman, one of the pioneers of tooth whitening

    * Personal trainer Michael George, who has trained such celebrities as Meg Ryan, Julianne Moore, Sela Ward and Reese Witherspoon

    * Hair stylist Francesco Galasso, owner of Frank Studios, who has worked with celebrities such as Leelee Sobieski, Kate Capshaw, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tori Spelling, Rene Russo, Gretchen Mol and Kelly Osbourne

    * Celebrity makeup artist Kerry Malouf, who has worked with such celebrities as Minnie Driver, Salma Hayek, Benicio Del Toro, Dylan McDermott, Will Smith and Ray Liotta

    * Fashion stylist Eddie Schachnow, who has served as stylist for such celebrities as Denzel Washington, Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, John Ritter and Mathew Perry

John's procedures included a facelift, upper and lower eye lift, fat injection to the cheeks, neck lift, ears pinned, teeth whitened and porcelain veneers.

    John's "Extreme Team" included:

    * Dr. Malcolm Alan Lesavoy, a prominent board-certified plastic surgeon in California

    * Dentist Dr. William Dorfman, one of the pioneers of tooth whitening

    * Dr. Robert Maloney, considered one of the 10 best Lasik surgeons in the world, who has performed Lasik surgery on such celebrities as Cindy Crawford and Barry Manilow

In addition, the number one question asked by viewers about Extreme Makeover is: "Will you continue to follow up with these people from time to time?" The answer is yes. Starting with this episode, wherein we check back in with Kine and Tammy to find out how their lives have changed dramatically since the show, "Extreme Makeove" will add a segment at the end of the show that checks in with past candidates.

Hosted by Sissy Biggers ("Ready, Set, Cook!"), "Extreme Makeover" is produced by Lighthearted Entertainment. Howard Schultz and Kimber Rickabaugh are executive producers, and Jacqui Pitman is co-executive producer. "Extreme Makeover" is directed by Paul Miller.

I'm sorry, but if you're 56 with a 2-year old, you have to expect people to think you're a grandfather.
