Note: Adamme and Latoya are equally strong in both hip hop and ballroom dancing. I do feel that Adamme is the better performer while Latoya has a great technical background.

Michael does shine in the ballroom style with his long legs and arms and he can really hit these great lines. Unfortunately, he is still losing weight and does not quite have the control over his entire body to be as effective in the hip hop style.

Adamme and Latoya

While I like this show and season 2 was much better that season 1, and I liked that all the contestants lost weight and seemed to improve their lifestyles some more than others. Adamme was my favorite to win and I sorta felt he got cheated, which was one of the reasons I really didn't comment too much on the finale. I do like how the producers handled the finale with the twist of letting some of the previous contestants back in for a chance at the third spot. During the finale I really felt that the judges were overrating LaToya and giving Adamme a couple of low scores when in previous episodes the opposite had been true. In one sense it felt as if the judges were congratulating LaToya for being the better dancer and for not being the best contestants in losing weight and dancing. Still it did come down to weight lost. Even if Adamme had gotten the exact same scores as LaToya is was about the weight. If Adamme had lost 2 more pounds he would have won. But I am OK with it.

On a bit of a side note: I did find it interesting that you could really see a subtle change in LaToya's face, especially around the jaw line, with this last 5lbs or so she dropped for the finale. I wonder if she continued to lose another 10 or 15 lbs I would not recognize her.

I do hope there is a season 3 with a bit of a follow up on the season 1 and season 2 contestants.

Playing with some photo imagery and got side to side photos of the finalists and you can better see the changes the weight loss made in the contestants faces and bodies.

It's interesting that Adamme even looks taller in the after photo...

It's amazing that 3 months after the finale people are still reading the posts on this thread, with that kind of interest I hope there will be a season 3.
