I hope he makes it big.

I didn't care for Neal Boyd on the show at all. However, in reading a few things about him, I really like him as a person. Still, I wish Eli would have won.

    I'd pay to see him!
Liked the magician........ LOVED Gramma Lee!
Kevin Skinner is my favourite. I like Gramma Lee too. She was on "Last Comic Standing" but got bumped early in the competition.

Good Lord was "Mimi" bad or what. Looks like she's gained 25 pounds. Did no choreography to speak of, just let her boy dancers fling her around and It was the WORST lip syncing I've seen since Milli Vanilli's hey day. If she has sold as many records as she claims, she should be the last one lipsyncing. I did'nt realize that the no talent Nick the announcer was her husband. Is that the only reason she was on?

Glad I didn't watch that part!

    Re: America's Got Talent

I have only watched bits and pieces so far, because the audition process seems to take forrrrevvvverrrr. But I caught the marathon on during Oxygen today, and saw who advanced to the finals and who America voted in. I don't agree with the judges choices of who they put through (I'm with those that think they sometimes favor the cute little kids or outrageous acts over the real talent). But I think America got it right. The magic act seemed unique and hopefully has more different kind of acts like that up his sleeve than the usual sawing the lady in half. Acro-dunk is a lot of fun to watch, but I'm not sure if they have staying power. Of the five who made it through first to the semi's, my favorites are Kevin Skinner and Gramma Lee. You can't help but root for people like that.

Whatever happened to that show? It seemed really popular and then poof, it was gone.

She came under a lot of heat after her performance at Michael Jackson's memorial. Mariah's lost her touch. God bless her, but she isn't the chart topper she once was. It seems like that person who went from A-list to C-list but is still acting like she's the big thing.

    Re: America's Got Talent

I watched a bit of this show this evening because there was nothing else on. It reminded me why I don't watch this show. It is just a bunch of random, mediocre talent. It feels like people who wouldn't have a chance on AI or SYTYCD as well as people who don't fit into any of the other talent-based shows. I don't get why people bother to watch at all...

    Re: America's Got Talent

I like the concept because it's a variety of talent vs just singing, comedy, or dancing, and age doesn't apply. Plus, the judges don't seem as bias or to show as much favoritism as other shows. But I wish they'd tweak the format. The audition process takes way too long, so they need to condense those shows and get right to the actual live show. And I think they need to scale back the acts. We still have two more weeks until we get to the semi-finals, right? Compared to last week, I thought this was week wasn't as good. I really loved the 5 sisters who opened the show and gave all my votes to them. I thought they were the best of the night but going first I'm not sure if that'll hurt them. I didn't like the tap dancing gramma, the 3 blondes (though I think they were just getting to the highlight of their performance when they all got buzzed). I liked the one dance group from Boston that was a wild card, and the husband/wife dance duo. The 3 kids at the end were cute but I don't care much for back stories and don't really want to hear that all season. However, they deserve to go through. The President Obama character fell flat, but I still have high hopes for him. I also didn't care much for Eleisha Miller, but the girl is so darn cute, that may help her.

I liked the variety last night. There wasn't one who stuck out for me except the cloggers at the beginning and the family at the end.

With all due respect for Terry Fader, I still can't believe a ventriloquist act won a couple of years ago. Yeah, he's a good ventriloquist, but if I went to Vegas, the last kind of show I'd pay to see is a ventriloquism act. And he's being paid a fortune! Sorry, I don't get it. I guess it's just me.
