I agree about the judges. I can't remember their names, however there is one in particular who just looks like he's sucked on lemons ALL the time and seldom really gives any truly positive feedback and if he does it's with little to no emotion. Of course, I could just be so unimpressed with him that I fail to notice any good from him. He's the one with the lighter hair.
My least favorite is Marc Murphy. Sometimes the contestants are merely stating an opinion (perhaps a strong one). No need to take OFFENSE every time a chef opens his mouth in response to the criticism you just gave.
I actually liked last nights show. I do not know why neither crushed the candy canes and mixed it in their toppings, not just lay them on top. I knew they would never melt, all they do is get sticky. Grating might have helped.
The 1st chef was out of his element completely. I had to laugh when the 2nd male could not find the tomatoes and they were right behind him. We were right, they are overwhelmed and not looking.
Taking a minute to correct myself . . .
I said Marc Murphy was my least favorite judge. Had my judges mixed up. Scott Conant is actually my least favorite, with Marc tied for second with Chris Santos.
