I put myself through college and grad school. I didn't expect my parents to pay for it and ended up with a set of 30 year loans to pay for the education I got. I'm sure the gosselin children could do the same and it's the family's problem, I feel, to figure if/how they are going to pay for it. I'm sure by that age the children will be capable of filling out financial aid forms and securing loans.

I agree! Lots of people have lots of kids and manage just fine. But I am sure a state university will not be good enough for Kate. She seems to like the upper crust of life.

At the time of their birth, the state set up individual college savings accounts for each child to allow people to donate to them. At one time Jon and Kate included this information on their web site, although I think that information is no longer accessible.

It's so funny to me how Kate seems to think she is a part of high society these days. Sorry but she will never be, imo she is white trash that made money on the backs of her kids. At least Jon is well bred and comes from an educated family. Kate is similar to Brittany Spears, they both like to go barefoot on dirty ground and have the filthiest feet, they both have hair issues, they both like to chew gum and look like cows when they do, they both have a very "slutty" side to them and they both conned their men into having kids......the only thing is Kate has ZERO talent and at least Brittany can sing and dance.

I am happy Jon finally broke away from his controlling over the top neurotic b*tch of a wife! So many people had said "I wish he would grow a pair"...well he finally has!!! Go Jon!

I am not implying that people who go barefoot are white trash...what I am saying is that Kate is full of contradictions. When they stopped at a hotel on the way to Disneyworld, she would not let anyone take their shoes off in the room because she said the hotel room floor was filthy and disgusting, yet during the same trip she goes into a gas station restroom barefoot and walks around the gas station barefoot.
The other thing about her going barefoot is she does not allow people to wear shoes in the house....I am from a culture where we do not allow shoes in the house and the reason is to keep the outside dirt separate from the inside....you just do not wear outside shoes inside the house.....but Kate walks around the outside barefoot and then walks in her house with filthy feet, what is the point of having people take their shoes off to enter the house, then? She makes no sense and is full of contradictions and lacks credibility because of it.

Not sure if I buy this. With all the fuss going on right now, combined with their move to a 1.5 million dollar estate, this would be somthing the couple would want posted all over their website.

The fact that it is gone (I'm not going to bother to check), just tells me they did get something from the state.

I remember a year or two ago there was outrage over this same topic. The state came out and said that when the six were first born accounts were set up but that no one had donated and within a short time the accounts were closed.

Now we have seen Jon extend sharing his time with the kids to Kate over a holiday. It will be interesting to see if she does the same on a holiday where she has the kids.

The information about the individual college savings account set up by the state of PA is documented. I don't have time to look for it now but I'll get it. There is plenty to criticize about the Gosselins, but the free college education story is bogus.
