There is no concrete evidence of Jon cheating. Was he innappropriate? For sure. And I am not excusing him or defending him but there is plenty of evidence of Kate verbally abusing Jon and generally treating him in a disrepectful manner.

But if Jon had said to Kate, "Gee could you tone it down a little?" he probably would have been met with: "Too bad. You knew who I was when you married me."

That old saying of "Women marry men trying to change them while men marry women expecting them never to change" is really true isn't it? Kate tried to change Jon and look where it got her.

Thank you so much for bringing that up. I was sickened by her behavior in that episode. I can't say I was an avid viewer either, but I've seen enough to know that no one would tolerate a man speaking to his wife the way Kate has spoken to Jon. What I don't get is, I've heard feminists defend her saying that "people can't handle that she's a strong woman."
Ummm, no. I can't handle that she's rude and a diva.

That's a really good point. If things were turned around, people would be crying wife-abuse in a heartbeat.

I have only met a few women who have even come close to talking to their husbands the way Kate spoke to Jon (never anyone as bad), and every single one of those women are now divorced. Coincidentally, all of their husband's had affairs and left them for other women, who were nice to them.

Just saw pics of J & K spending 4th together. Two girls playing with sparklers, and dear Kate is holding one in each hand. I'm sure she'd like to light Jon up! The infamous white plastic chair made it into the picture also!

I saw the photos on radar online. Why are they doing fireworks in the daylight? Is it so the paparazzi can get clearer photos? I don't know about other parts of the country but here in CA, we have always done our fireworks after dark.

I wonder where Kate slept last night since it was Jon's day to be at the house. I hope she was sent to a local hotel or to the apartment over the garage.....I have a feeling if it was her turn at the house, she wouldn't even allow him in the house.

WOW! Where was the info on who gets the house on which days? Has it also been made public as to who is going to pay who the alimony?

Maybe they are putting their children first by celebrating the holiday as a family.

I don't see why either would pay alimony. They both have the same job. They both get paid the same for that job don't they? I don't see how either one would be able to have a contract with the show to receive money and the other not. If they take turns with the kids, shared parenting, then neither would pay child support either.

As far as both parents being there for the children for 4th of July, that is great for the kids IF both parents do not fight, argue, put the other one down, or make snide comments about the other while they are together FOR THE KIDS. After seeing some of Kate's behavior I think that will be a very hard thing for her to do. It may even be hard for Jon now as he has found his voice and his set. If the parents can not get along together then it is in the best interest of the children to NOT spend holidays together.

Kate and Jon have already taken the first step in doing something right for their children. Hopefully they will realize that they need to continue doing what is right for their children and stop doing the show. I know that some people feel that children from a divorced home are have less benefits than children from a "complete" home. However, if in that "complete" home there is nothing but fighting, using the children against the other, belittling the other in front of the children then the children are in a worst position than if the parents went their seperate ways. Children of divorced parents can have normal lives. Sometimes an even better life than if the parents stayed together "for the sake of the kids".
