Jon & Kate Plus Eight

Yeah she had natural identical quads. And has raised them mostly as a single mother with her other two kids working a real job. The only "gift" she really go was from a local photography studio that wanted to take yearly pictures of them. So that probably contributes to why I get so annoyed with all the exploitative families on tv at this point, especially this show. It's just not necessary.

I love the Dilley's! What a down to earth family! It is my understanding that Becki went back to work as a nurse as Keith got laid off. They were able to prove that you can have a large family and live a simple yet fulfilling life. A big deal to them was going to the Indiana State Fair......

I saw an update on them last December as they go to NYC every year (ABC pays for the trip) so Diane Sawyer can interview them. What nice, well adjusted kids. And Becki said she rarely dressed them alike. She homeschooled them and she said that when they went to high school she gave them all the choice: public, Catholic or homeschool. She said "No need for them all to graduate the same year or from the same school." Kate, are you listening??

To keep this on topic, I read that Kate said they will not be talking to the media. Please Kate? Pretty please? No more parading around your front yard (when you live on 23 acres) in that awful white hat for the photographers? Pleeeeze?

When Kate said that the divorce rate was 3 times higher in families of multiples, I looked for facts to back up her statement but never found a thing. Does Kate just pull things out of thin air so she can place the blame of her failed marriage on anything but herself? I didn't think her credibility could go down anymore but it has!

This is what J&K should have done. Raise your kids, do an occasional TV special and let yourselves be a family. Kudos to the Dilley's and their wonderful family. When I hear things like Jon's gf is joining the "cast", I want to say.... cast??? This is supposed to be the kids lives!

My nephews wife belongs to a "Christian Moms" forum. She told me that several months ago it was posted on there that Kate is getting counseling from her Pastor. Supposedly Kate is the one that put the book release and tour on hold and she was willing to fore-go the advance to do so.

I asked her to send me the links to all of this. Hopefully her kids will cooperate and let her spend a day or two on the computer while she finds them. haha!

Niece also said that it was widely known that when Kate found out that jon had taken his $(ut on his ski vacation that Kate had begged jon for couples counseling. He refused telling her that he was perfect just as he is since he had women lined up down the road waiting for him and that she was the desperate one that would never be able to get another man in her life.
Niece said it was reported that it was jon that started the rumor about Kate and her bodyguard hoping that she would look good to other men to get him off the hook. haha Leave it to passive Jon to let someone else do the dirty work.


Just like what is reported in all of the gossip rags, I take it all with a grain of salt.
I mean really, If the rags posted the truth then based on all of the "baby bump" photos Jen Aniston would have kids by John Mayer AND Brad Pitt and KAtie Holmes would have had about six or seven babies in that last three years. Not to mention that Katie and AJ are BFF's and their girls have never ending tea parties.

Gossip rags will print anything to sell that rag. Funny how as the general population is on "J&K" overload the rags conveniently say that "Kate" doesn't want to talk. Um, maybe it's because she was never "talking" to begin with. And the smart population is tired of the stupid "gossip" ie., lies.

It's one thing to blame the gossip rags.
I honestly think in the failure of a marriage there is blame on both sides as I'm sure is certainly the case in this one.
The thing is, as many of us have witnessed over the years, Kate has a very harsh tongue. She could be brutal to her husband and this isn't something that the cameras could put in her mouth or editing could add. You would think that, if anything, TLC would want her to look haflway nice to be a sympathetic character.
It has always bothered me how she treated Jon and how she freaked out at normal kid messes. Ice cream or dirt? So what! Pumpkin guts on the table covering as the kids and Jon carve Jack O'Lanterns? Big deal!
I hope she has asked for counseling. As the parent of a child who went through a divorce, I know counseling can help an individual even after the marriage is broken.

I wouldn't be any more inclined to believe a Christian Moms forum than I would a tabloid to be perfectly honest.

I've seen elsewhere that some who identified themselves as being Christian mothers are fiercely protective of Kate, they're defending "one of their own" so to speak.

It's actually quite laughable. Sounds like a rumour run rampant, with an original kernel of truth blown wildly out of proportion.
It it proves to be correct I'll retract my statement, but I need more proof than a bunch of people gossiping on a website.
Good God, we could all start a ludicrous rumour here too.

Amen to that. Nothing else to add except if Kate is getting counseling from her Pastor....good for her. I truly hope it helps and that she realizes how much damage this whole fiasco is doing/has done to her family. Not that Jon couldn't use some help too as it does take two to make a marriage work and I don't think either one of them worked as hard at it as they could have.

If the "Christian Moms" gossip is indeed true then Kate would have been the one to leak that kind of information. I doubt if any of that is indeed true although I'm sure the "CM"'s that frequent that forum would love it to be.

She was never talking? She ran to People magazine the day after Mady and Cara were told of the divorce to share their reactions with anyone that cared to know. The "smart" population have their own eyes and ears and are just plain tired of her.

ITA. Kate has been loud and clear, using People as her mouthpiece to make sure the public hears her interpretation of events. The CM gossip is IMO even less credible than the tabloids, as this group has a vested interest in protecting someone they perceive as one of their own. These people will never admit that Jon and Kate scammed churches and innocent people, accepting their donations long after there was any reason for them. It's much easier to blame anyone other than themselves for being duped by a couple of grifters.
