Sober House - Page 9

Anybody have an opinion about the odd placement of Steven in the chair ( I think it was two times we saw him) but with no interaction with the other people??Do you think it is an edit to make him look like he is there??

I don't recall seeing him in the group around the computer when they were looking at Seth. It is on again today so I will have to watch again more closely.

I also laughed when we heard the hockey tool ( I am guessing) say to Amber that she had to leave because there was a camera crew outside.....duh....they were there all night following Amber. Didn't the idiot notice them then....

One thing I like about this show is that it shows that Sober Living is MUCH more difficult than rehab, because they are supposed to be making choices and living by rules. I don't think everyone there is a "spoiled entitled celebrity" - Rodney King isn't, for sure. I do wish they would show more of the people struggling, and beating the craving. I'd like to see way more of Rodney and less of Mary Carey. (I'm sorry, I think the ballet thing is ridiculous and she needs some trainging to do something other than porn or stripping to make a living.)

I agree. I wouldn't want Mary teaching my child ballet. I don't mean to sound rude....but I wouldn't. I would like to see more of Rodney as well.

I'm gonna have to tell my friend who does the editting for this show!

It would also help if we actually saw some of the day to day activity....like is anybody working??Wasn't that supposed to be one of the things that would help them get back on track??

I noticed strange editing as well. One time you in Dr.Drews office they showed Amber talking and then it cut to a shot of Amber and Steven (I think) listening to her! It was weird and very sloppy editing.

Wasn't Mary Carey just at the last AVN awards? I wish she would go do other things but this is a business she knows well and has branded herself in it. I don't see her changing that but then at the same time she is going to constantly be surrounded by people using.

I too, cannot believe I am finding Andy Dick to be so likable-he's always acted like such a jerk and said some truly awful things. But sober, he's so different, so sweet and endearing.
I'm sick of watching Shifty, I would like to see more of Rodney King, but because he seems to be taking this very seriously maybe the film crew thinks we wouldn't be interested. From what little I've seen of him on both shows, he comes across as the most serious and determined and rational of all of them.
I know a lot of people have bad things to say about Mary Carey, but I don't. I see a young woman who is sweet and kind and loving...but terribly broken. I hope she can pull it all together and lose the abusive boyfriend and leave `Mary Carey' behind. I doubt she enjoys what she does, but from what I've learned about her in these shows, I think she believes that's all she's good for. And I think she feels people won't ever give her chance in anything else, as they will prejudge her.

Shifty is extremely sick. I can't believe he would go into cardiac arrest and then leave the hospital to do more drugs. But wait...did he actually go into cardiac arrest? Didn't he say he didn't? That confused me.

I missed yesterday's episode...will try to catch it today. You mean that after that preview that made us think he was at death's door, he wasn't??
