This episode was less vile than most of the earlier ones. There was no manufactured drame...just sort of real. Tom had to go to court in Bakersfield to face an old charge. His probation was continued since he had all his papers about his residency in rehab. The judge did warn him that any other problem and he would face more jail time. With the assault charges we read about coming after the show ended, he might be in trouble. Dennis met with his mother whom he has not seen for 7 years and it was quite well done. He intimated that he turned his back on her because he felt she wanted money. She apparently raised him alone and she said that he told he that when he made it big, he would take care of her DUH>>>it is your mother Dennis who raised you by herself. Most normal people with success make sure the first thing they do is buy their parent(s) a house when they get some major money.

His mother did not raise him, she was just there. He has said his sisters helped him, then said his family just wanted money

I do know that Dennis' `mother' was abusive at best while he was growing up- she focused her energy on his two sisters, who at the time were star athletes in high school while Dennis was a skinny, short awkward kid bullied and beaten by his classmates. His mother frequently derided him rather than protecting him. His childhood was just absolutley awful. When he was in college he was `adopted' by a friends family and he moved in with them on their farm. It's a time and place in his life in which he has good memories of `family.' His mother became maternal only when Dennis became a star basketball player in college.

I am really disappointed at what an enabler Dr. Drew has ended up being- he needs to adopt a little tough love instead of constantly excusing and validating these clients' crazy behaviors. I say that sadly because I used to be a huge Drew fan, but he is behaving in a terrible manner this time around in my opinion. Validating crazy abusive behavior yet cracking down on Jen who has the job from hell? What is Drew going to do next, say "Mike, great job! You only verbally abused 4 women and 3 men this week, and there are only 2 fungi growing in your room- keep up the great work buddy!"

You are sooo right! It's amazing to me that drew holds Jen responsible for Mike's abusive behavioer toward her-as if she's the reason he behaves as he does-it's like blaming the victim of a domestic violence situation, you know? `Well Jen, if you didn't do certain things to set him off he wouldn't have to threaten you like that.' Mike is an adult and just because he has an addiction disease does not mean he gets to use that as an excuse to be so disrespectful and threatening- he's going to have to deal with stressful situations in the real world and what is Dr. Drew teaching him? That it's perfectly okay to throw a tantrum and blame everyone else because of the addcition. I mean, MIke freaks out over having to clean his room, can you imagine the guy having to deal with an actual problem?
Honestly, poor Jen should get some sort of combat award at this point because even if people don't think she's good at this job she sure as heck puts up with a lot more insanity than most people could handle. She puts herself at physical and emotional risk and I would think this whole environment would be a trigger to relapse.

I don't know if Dennis is in need of money. Appearing on the Drew programs leads me to think he may. Additionally, there was a story in the Boston GLOBE that Dennis was DJing at a club in one of the casinos in CT. They did comment that he was drinking just cranberry juice.

Not sure when it was filmed, but Rodman was on Judge Pirro show, suing a business friend for $4000, which he won gaming, said he told friend to hold it. Friend spent it gaming, and said Dennis was too drunk to remember, He told judge he had been drinking. He won his case.

Anyone think Dennis is being paid by Ed Hardy to wear those T shirts?

The skater dude was reportedly paid to wear the clothes he wore on Celeb Rehab.

I kinda wonder that about a certain other (former) reality tv star sometimes, too. (Noted for his Ed Hardy wardrobe.)

Thing that gets me is that this Mike keeps on acting like an idiot and every time he does anything or says anything nasty, he says that he is sick.. How long will he use this addiction for being such an ass and not growing up?

apparently the rest of his life. I really think there is some major brain damage due to his drug use....his view of life is pretty adolescent...almost as if he emotionally and intellectually has not matured to his age.

I missed the finale...so I will be watching ti tonight at 6. Any information about it?
