How funny. I already forgot he was on it. He wasn't in the first episode at all?!?! Maybe he arrives in the middle of it or something.

I would always have an "emergency" if it meant I could have Dr. Drew come over to my house.Originally Posted by MMLEsq;3280535;
I was really surprised they didn't make Steven go back to rehab. If he relapsed so quickly, he really needs more intensive treatment.
Seth seems to be treating this whole experience as a lark. I'm afraid he's still not ready to stay sober.![]()
In the previews for the season they state that Seth had a heart attack so I assume he didn't stay sober.
Yup, with donuts!!
In my opinion the way these guys abuse their bodies, I am surprised they are still alive. I mean how old is Seth? A heart attack brought on by smoking too much cocaine, I assume. Stephen Adler already suffered a stroke, what is it going to take for these guys to get sober? I'm afraid addiction is a horrible, horrible disease but I also believe that there is a time to make choices and take responsibility for your actions.
You're assuming they are capable of making choices while they are under the influence and seeking out more drugs. How many drunk people do you know make healthy choices? For example. Seth and Steven have had very few sober periods in their adult life to even begin making choices and when using is the only life you know you literally have to relearn how to live and this little rehab that he does on TV is just a drop in the bucket of what these guys need.
Plus adults make bad choices every day to varying degrees knowing it will have bad consequences later on. How many people pound back caffeine? Eat fast and greasy foods? Smoke? Chew? Drink more than they should? etc. These are ingrained in our lives as addiction is in the lives of people who use. It's not so easy to say well it's going to affect my health so I better stop.
You're right CC....it's not easy but it is something grownups have to do, make choices that affect their life, health and others around them. And, I fully believe that we are capable of making those choices.
Everyday is a new struggle for recovering addicts. It's always one day at a time. Some days the urge is incredibly strong no matter what the poison was. It's a lifelong struggle and Dr. Drew is completely right when he says that our brains do not function properly after addiction. The brain and body actually make it seem as though they cannot survive without the high. These extreme cases are a little bit different than normal addicts as well. They have everything right at their fingertips and for the majority of addicts, you have to change your entire life when you are sober in order to remove anything that will trigger the need to use.

I just saw the show and that was a tough one. We know that SA's problems continue based on some news stories after Celeb Rehab was over.
I must have missed it on CR....but did Amber ever say in the other show that she had been an "escort" to pay for her drugs. I was surprised to hear that. She really has kept her looks and classiness considering all that she has been through.
When they showed the early pictures of Nikki, that was so sad. I always thought she was so attractive during the AI years. She had a special style and her hair, makeup and clothing worked with that style. Now, she so looks like she has aged 30 years.
But both women were mothered by a female who turned them on to drugs. I just cannot comprehend that.

I think Amber is a beautiful woman, whatever happened to her mother? Do you think there is a future in modeling or acting for her after this show is over? I understand she has made some appearances but I wonder if the shows will revive her career.
