I was pretty sure Nikki lip syched the song...although the track was well done. I thought this from the fact that Nikki would stop singing the the track would continue and Steven said something when he was in his mood about not needing him to play the drums since it was ( garbled) and I figured he said taped
It does appear that when budget cuts happen, the first thing hit in my area is mental health/substance abuse counseling. It's really difficult to see these people seeking help without any kind of resources. Some people forget that addicts are truly impaired. They aren't second-class citizens to be throw out with the wash.
A couple of points from yesterday's show. Thank heaven they put Andy into the group. The man made the show look better than it deserves. The same thing for Rodney. The man also looks like a person who wants to change.
glad that Mary didn't drink during the swingers convention...hopefully the piece of garbage she is associated with is gone from her life( but I doubt it)
What was with Jen and Seth being on the bed together with his head on her stomach?? What were the rules are set down by JEN!!! No physical contact and no going into the bedrooms of the other gender!! Maybe she was being nuturing and motherly (although she does NOT strike me that way.)... but that was just inappropriate.
Nikki still has her voice...but she just looks so sloppy. For a girl that had such a fabulous style when she was on AI, she is just sad looking, especially since she kept the red streaks in her hair and all the tats. She is a mess
Steven looks like he has not turned the corner. I would imagine that it going to conintue downhill for him.
Mental health usually sustains to a point here funding wise but chemical dependency drops right off the radar. It's not one of those things that is marketable that people feel good about funding. Everyone wants to help autistic kids or stuff like that because it's socially acceptable. People can get some warm fuzzies from saying they helped that cause. There's not too many warm fuzzies to be had with drug addicts. I enjoy working in the field always have. Warm fuzzies or not. You get to really see humanity.Quote:

I don't really care if she lip sync-ed or not or whether she looked stylish enough, the poor girl deserves a break and getting up there on the annivesary of her mom's death was a big accomplishment. I found it very touching. Regardless, I think she sounded outstanding and I love her song.Quote:

I guess sobriety makes a huge difference in some people's personalities, as is also the case with Steven- sweet teddy bear when sober, and a real jerk when not. I also really love Rodney and hopes he makes it, he seems to have such a good heart. Poor Amber she is gorgeous but seems like a teenager. I hope Mary stays away from that slime ball David but I doubt she will.
I work in Mental Health here in Southern California. First of all, we are saturated with sober living and rehab facilities, Mental Health and Dual Diagnosis clinics. There is alot of money here and there is alot of competition to make these places like resorts...ocean views, chefs, personal trainers during rehab. I am sure other states do things differently. California is a very lay back place. Dr. Drew caters to celebrities. He is a well respected Addiction Specialist at Las Encinas where he is affiliated.
I really like Dr. Drew and always have. However, I feel that this tv program is more for the entertainment aspect it brings rather than the rehab that it should and could be. Maybe we just aren't seeing all that happens there.Quote:

I'm sure Dr. Drew is respected there. However, the reality is it is incompetent practice to keep people in a facility when they need a higher level of care. Regardless of how laid back it is.
