The Washington Post's Divine Impulses has a nice interview with Jimbob & Michelle (link). I often find myself feeling inspired by the Duggars but feeling like I cannot relate to them... this interview, especially their comments about parenting in the early years (extended interview), made them seem a bit more relatable.

Lord I hope that there isn't another "J" name in the works!

^I thought I read that they were thinking about the letter M, for Michelle. (at least that's the reason that I think sounds most feasible)

Yes, I heard the M for Michelle too. I'm so glad to have such a nice, wholesome family with values on tv. It is refreshing.

It was definitely interesting, at least, to see this week's episode...it showed that the girls, at the conference, are basically just teaching the kids, while the boys get to do the scouting-type things. I thought it was funny when Jim Bob was asked to autograph a bottle of hairspray.

I agree with the above poster. The girls were slaving away at child care as usual while the boys got to do fun stuff - or at least had the chance (one boy was too scared to climb the wall).

How on earth will the family manage if the older girls actually manage to get away and live independently at some point?
