Wouldn't you earn more money that way? I'm always confused when I see young people, ignore education opportunities. I guess when your parents don't support education, it has a big influence on you.

Of course, the other daughters are now in charge of raising the younger kids and taking care of the house and family. I hope Michelle is still able to get her afternoon naps and daily exercise, like she has described before.
I saw this episode and she said she didn't want to responsibility of being in charge during a birth. She would rather be an assistant, because being in charge would make her too nervous and stressed.

Interesting that they're only let out of the house to take care of someone else's babies.......

Oh. I'm not sure what to say. Education and knowledge are so valuable. I just hate to see great minds never get the chance to reach their potential.

In this last episode, Jessa and Jinger worked at a coffee shop for the day to raise money for school uniforms for children in an orphanage. The people they trained with said the girls were quick learners and very friendly and open with the customers. Of course, they cut to shots of good looking guys ordering from the girls and then jim Bob talking about how it was nice for the girls to get out, but when it came to guys, it was a different story. Then, the entire family had to show up and take over the whole place because you know they wouldn't let those girls have their own thing. They had to make sure to escort them back to prison,,,uh,,, I mean home. Those kids' butts aren't going to wipe themselves ya know.

I actually caught a few minutes of the recent show. Part of it was them in the coffee shop and the other was about the two sisters helping deliver a baby. I couldn't help but notice how detached Jana seemed to be. She mainly looked at her sister, who did most of the talking. I didn't get the impression that Jana is into delivering babies. She's along for the ride, but didn't seem to be very interested. That's why her younger sister is going for it and she isn't, IMO. I wonder what she really wants to do, besides get her own life.

I liked Jinger's "addiction" to coffee.

What would happen if one of the those duggar kids was gay? I always wondered this.

I have read that statisically, it's likely to happen. I would hate to be that kid, because you would not be able to ever be open about it. If you did, you would not be tolerated. Jim Bob and Michelle have been quite open about their political affliation and they stand behind politicans who are against gay rights and not just a little bit.

I guess its better to live a lie and be miserable (your spouse too). I would just never get married, if I were a Duggar. I can't even imagine being not true to myself.

    Re: The Duggar Family

In tonight's episode, Michelle and Jim Bob go away for a marriage retreat in Puerto Rico. Jim Bob constantly reminds viewers that they will be having sex at every opportunity that he gets to talk. yuck! He also tells everyone they meet, in some joking way, that they have had sex. Way to go, Jim Bob, you scored with your wife of over 20 years! Who would have expected that, considering you have 19 kids together. He is such a douche! As a Christian man, he is completely inappropriate.

He also proved that he is a crappy husband by showing all of the audience that he doesn't listen to his wife at all whatsoever. She was very open about how much she feels like all of this responsibility is on her shoulders, and he doesn't listen to her. And, then he just keep making jokes and interrupting her. It was sad, really. Maybe Michelle keeps having these babies to fill the void that she has by being alone in a marriage.
