Admit it. You watched!

Re: Hole in the Wall

I think the YouTube clips make it perfectly clear, even if they are in Japanese!

The show is virtually unchanged, except now instead of the "wacky but generic Japanese host" type, we get a really shrieky Brooke annoying us (can we trade for the OTHER Brooke, the non-shrieky one who's going to be on DWTS?)

Even the silly suits and sound effects are the same.

There's also the Italian take on the show. Girls in bikinis. YouTube search "Italian Babes in Bikinis play the Human Tetris Game".

There's even a Australian one out there. I just noticed a YT user named holeinthewalloz is posting those (edit - just checked, that's actually an "official" site/account--Freemantle is actually legally posting these themselves).

It's all terrible, and yet kind of addicting at the same time. Except for the Brooke-enhanced American version. Because she's taking it from terrible but oddly hypnotic to just plain agonizing.

Re: Hole in the Wall

I did watch this trainwreck. My husband & I just sat there, exchaging looks from the TV to each other. My daughter (20 months old) put it best when she just got up, grabbed her blanket & tiger, unceremoniously turned-off the tv (that we were watching) and went into her room.

Strangest show I've seen in a while. A long while. And yes, the yelling got very old, very quickly.

Sumo Wrasslers vs. Jockeys?

Bwah.

FOX really HAS managed to push this already silly premise even further "down".

Not sure I can last long watching this, but its okay a few minutes at a time. In a kind of self-torturing way.

Re: Hole in the Wall

Haven't watched the show, but I have seen the game played on the Ellen Degeneres show. It was funny as a small part of her show, but I don't know if I could sit through half an hour of it. My son seems to like it, though.

Re: Hole in the Wall

On the second half on the last show (I flipped away but back later) they had RERUN'S daughter. She's the rather large lady in that commercial they aired before the show first aired who has that "oh #&*t" look on her face when she sees the wall speeding towards her.

It didn't help much.

Re: Hole in the Wall

I only watched the 1st one because some of the guys from the radio show that I listen to were on. I TIVO'd it & got through it in about 8 minutes (editing out commercials & all the hosts talking). I probably won't watch again. It's no Wipeout!
