Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

maybe i'm not clear on the situation, but i thought it was said that he does know/care for/interact with all the kids.

I'm sorry but six kids who don't know their dad in my book makes him a crappy person. Certainly it doesn't make him responsible, a fine young man, somebody to be proud to know or welcome into one's family, reliable, an example to hold up.

One is a mistake. Six is a lifestyle.

I know - judgemental. But he could have kept his zip done up, used protection, avoided STDs, whatever. But to bring six people who will have that kind of 'family' (half sib all over, four co-mammas maybe, or four squabbling wrecks, and now yet another co-mommy with a preexisting kid) is not fair.

And apparently we all needed to learn that startling fact about him on national TV. It was charming to say the least.

Thank God Andy (so handsome) Cohen (who seems to be stacking his cocktail hour with the gays, doesn't he? Flipping Jeff, Dwight, Anderson Cooper ) didn't ask for more details than he did and was provided with.

Did you see him flirting like a Brad to a MaxMax over Bristol Palin's babydaddy?

Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Dwight is clearly very insecure.

It's a common trait I've seen, among gay men - and women - who have someone close to them who doesn't support their lifestyle to go very over-the-top.

He just seems so contrived, and that, to me, screams insecurity.

Really???? Seriously????? you truly can't figure it out, huh? Well, from what I can read and understand and obviously I'm not as well educated as you...

My initial & subsequent posts have stated & explained my perspective. At no time have I insulted or "lectured" anyone. Can you say the same?

The way your original post and Jexter's was written, it may have come out a little differently than either of you intended. Others have tried to point out that same thing without much success.
Hence my subsequent posts to further clarify my position. Agreement isn't required.

I'm not ,by any means, trying to put down "real" housewives. It is a lot of work and they certainly earn their keep. The problem is that it doesn't qualify them for anything else. If the marriage breaks up they are out of work...
Undoubtedly this applies to a percentage of housewives/SAHMs, but many are educated & chose to leave lucrative careers. Although not currently employed, this segment of housewives/SAHM could utilize their education/experience/connections/etc. to rejoin the workforce in the same or similiar position previously abandoned & support themselves/their child(ren).

Of course, I think that that goes without saying. This doesn't ,however, seem to be the case with most of the women on these shows. Some of them have been lucky enough to get in on a family business. It isn't always easy to rejoin the work force , after raising a family. All of a sudden you're 10, 15 or 20 years older than the people you're competing against for jobs. Most women who get divorced get custody. They're doing most of the kid related and household duties AND WORKING. It's not easy.
I would just like to take a minute to bring up something that happened awhile back. The RHOC thread was shut down because of people arguing. It was a sad time. I really missed reading others comments on the show. It took the fun out of watching it because a huge part was coming here afterwards.

That's nice. Is he there for them all or is he living with prospective babymomma five? Is he there to tuck them in at night, to play ball with them, to be there when they had a bad day at school?

Or does it depend on visiting day?

The kid's a conversational black hole. Good thing he's good looking but he really should enjoy his 15 minutes now.

I think if he wants to remain a star for longer he'll have to make the move to porn.

I did finally. Thank heavens for synthetic voice sweetening. She can drone and buzz the puerile infantile lyrics into a box and out comes something that is

well

instantly forgettable. I mean it - I'm trying to remember it as I sit here typing this and I can't think of a thing about it other than the lyrics seemed to have been written by a precocious middle school student with a talent for wishing herself to be more than she really is.

And, uh, it wasn't really country, was it?

She's kept a studio engineer in nose candy and hookers for the week though, with the fees she's paid/had paid for this mess, so that's nice.

And her kids will probably grow up to keep a therapist in car payments - it all works out in the end.
