Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

exactly . . . . the women on all these shows are attention whores of some type so why single out the ATL ladies for their behavior?

it's all for entertainment - - - - if you want to see some serioue programming, watch cnn or something, lol.

Instead, you get the attention seekers, people on the fringe and people wanting to break into the biz.

It sure doesn't stop them from watching it though!

I am sooooo excited!!! less than an hour to go!!

Anglo Am, if you thought the New York and New Jersey housewives were a trainwreck, wait till you experience these southern gals. You will still be picking your jaw up off the floor half an hour after the show is over

Aren't there any college-educated African Americans whose sole income does not come from professional sports or Rap music? Why are the African-American community always represented by the lowest common denominator? Hence, these women. Great comedic entertainment.

Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

The list is extremely long. That question is almost insulting.

Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

I realize this was just the first show of the new season, but I couldn't help thinking we are seeing a kinder, gentler Sheree.....anyone else?

Looks like from the previews, we will be needing earplugs again when Kim gets in front of the mic!

I saw a whole lot of acting on her part. After all the headlines she's made since last season, she was a woman with damage control in mind. That scene with the party planner was over the top ridiculous. I hope the rest of the season won't be staged, over-acted scenes.....We'll see.

1. You're joking, right?

2. Because that's what the mainsteam wants to see. Anything else is invisible to them. For example, a great indie movie called "Medicine for Melancholy" didn't get any backing when it was shown at Sundance and was aired only in a few cities. Meanwhile, Sapphire Jones "Push" got a LOT of backing and is going to be widely released. Ask yourself why.

Being college-educated doesn't seem to a prerequisite for ANY of the "Housewives " shows. There's not a Rhodes Scholar in the bunch! Actually the worst person on Atlanta is Kim and she's white! She couldn't even handle a cosmetology class! This woman is scary because she's too dumb to know that she's dumb. Her money comes from being a mistress which can't be compared to being married to a sports pro (which is a legit way to make a living) and having and raising his children. I really like the new woman. She's made a good career for herself not just singing but writing too. She wrote "No Scrub" which was a huge hit (and a great song) for TLC. Nene doesn't seem to have much of an education but she's not stupid. Her little song about Kim (last season) was pretty funny and creative (two things that Kim is not). Actually, very few of the women (on all of the "Housewives" shows come off looking good at all and they're all white. Why should BRAVO change their formula if it's working?

Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

That fight between Sheree and the party planner was something! The guy was wrong though. He acted very inappropriately. What happened to 'the customer is alway right'?
So far I like the new HW. I wish they had mentioned what happened to Deshawn and why she's not on the show anymore.
