For me, NeNe made the show (and her friend Dwight - he had some great one-liners). I will miss DeShawn and her family... I really liked them and, as others have posted, the balance they gave the show.

I hate that they dropped DeShawn. At least she gave some balance to the nutty behavior, I hope they reconsider next season.

The problem is the same as what Bravo has with the other "Real Housewives" shows. Black women who would most accurately portray a slice of that life (ie: family has 3+ generations of college grads, was a Jack and Jill child, sorority woman in college, probably a Spelman graduate and is either a FT professional or her husband is and she does a lot of charity work) WOULDN'T BE CAUGHT DEAD ON THIS SHOW because they wouldn't have time to do it anyway and because they would consider it tacky and vulgar. Instead, you get the attention seekers, people on the fringe and people wanting to break into the biz.

It sure doesn't stop them from watching it though!

THis will be my first time watching the ladies of Atlanta tonight. I am so looking forward to it. These shows always make me realize how lucky I am, because I'm not on them.

I can't wait to watch tonight. I hope they explain why DeShawn is not on the show anymore. I guess I'm not surprised though, on the reunion show she acted like she really didn't want anything more to do with the other HW's or the show.
