This series is completely different from RHONY, pretty different from RHONJ, and kinda similarish to RHOOC. In cattiness at least. But really, it's a beast all of it's own.

It never fails to crack me up when Kim tells someone they have no class. It's clear that she thinks herself the epitome of class, and it's also clear that she thinks it's the worst insult in the world to be told you have none. Although, I'm not sure what universe she's in where faking cancer is classy?

i don't think they are any worse than any of the other housewives . . . . i think bc they are black women, ppl judge them far more harshly than they do the white housewives on the other shows.

I have to disagree with you, buttahfly. I don't necessarily think these women are being judged harsher than they should be, and I certainly haven't seen anyone on here make any comment about their behavior having anything to do with their race. However, because of all the ignorance out there, I do think it's a shame that these ridiculous people are who Bravo chooses to show out of the African American community.

I don't think that they're being judged based on their skin color though, I think that Sheree is simply cruel, Nene is ridiculous and over-the-top, and Kim is just horrible. Absolutely classless and awful. The only ones I have any respect for are Lisa, who seems to be a mature, intelligent woman from what I saw, and DeShawn, who was very sweet, if a little ditzy.

But I think that the three Mean Girls of this cast are exactly on par with the OC ladies and Ramona. But, in the end, every cast is held to some sort of stereotype. The OC ladies are super-tanned, blond, fake-boobed b*tches, the New York ladies are career women (sometimes) who do lots of very ritzy charity parties and are married to successful businessmen, and the NJ women were constantly fighting off mob rumours. I suppose this is Bravo's idea of the South. It's a pity they couldn't catch much of the wonderful, wonderful things about it.

Glad I popped in here to read the latest - didn't realize the new season starts tonight!
For me, NeNe made the show (and her friend Dwight - he had some great one-liners). I will miss DeShawn and her family... I really liked them and, as others have posted, the balance they gave the show.
