In all the reports of AJ's death, they keep referring to him as Khandi's ex fiancee.
Does anyone know if they broke up before he died? Thanks. I'm confused here.

This article from the NY Daily news stated that he moved out of her home last month. It also identifies him as part owner of the club where he died.

Also just found this as I was searching for the article. It mentions him getting hit with the bottle. Have not read it all yet so I don't know if the call happened before or after the fight but this statement should clear things up.

...and this article says he was hit by the bottle as he was walking away from the fight. Cowardly! I don't know how reliable this source is but the bottle part has been mentioned quite a few places. This is the first time I heard he was trying to walk away from the conflict.

KeepItReal, thanks so much. I had not seen that article and it explains things.
I liked AJ and felt he always treated Khandi and her daughter with love and respect. It was a horrible way for him to have to die.

She wasn't wearing her engagement ring on 'Watch What Happens' two weeks agao so I assumed they had broken up, but hadn't ready anything about it.

I think they broke up before the season started, or were by the time they showed the segment where her mom didn't approve... she did an interview around that time and said something to the effect that it was a moot point now (don't quote me, but I'm about 99% positive).

I just hope that Bravo doesn't want to do a housewives funeral. That would be dispicable to watch the "ladies" try to upstage AJ as the center of attention.

Can you picture this ... Kim singing, Sheree dressing AJ in She by Sheree, etc.

On a serious note ... God bless Kandi and AJs families during this very difficult time.
