Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Well, I'm going to let my judgment of the man lapse; it's past that now. Poor Kandi, that tragedy and pain should visit somebody so kind and giving is just a travesty and a shame, and we know it happens all the time to good people. I pray that she finds some comfort in knowing that AJ's travail and confusion is over and that the good things he did will live on while the bad will be quickly forgotten. I hope she finds strength to go on. I pray that his children realize that, on balance, he did the best he knew how.

I don't see how the man can make a promise he's not legally allowed to make.

I was so mad at Kim for Khandi. I mean that's just low class unless somebody died or her children were at death's door.

I have to admit to be glad that Lisa didn't sugar coat the fact that "Kim didn't come." Although I'm never sure Lisa's motives are pure. At all.

It's done all the time. I am not shocked by it.

I am so very shocked about what happened to AJ. That was just yesterday! Just goes to show that you never know what's going to happen to whom. There was a posting earlier in the thread that talked about how/why his girls were with Kandi. I want to say that it was a stability issue.

OMG. Is he the one who's been on the show, with all the kids?
He seemed like a very nice man who may have made some poor choices in his past, but I liked him and he really seemed to care about Kandi.

I've heard it's done all the time. But Lee's wife and kids have to know about his relationship with Kim. I don't believe the wife is going to disappear anytime soon, but if she does she'll do an Ivana Trump....don't get mad, get everything!

Plus Kim has enough child support and alimony to be comfortable, just might not be her level of comfort.

Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

I explained to my girls when we saw Kim explain that he proposed that in Man-Language it meant "This oughta shut you up for a few years."

Still wish we could have an episode where Nene isn't featured. I don't care for either one of them. Actually, I don't care much for Sheree or Lisa either. Can we round up some of Kandi's real friends and have a show about them??????? Please??????

Re: The Real Housewives of Atlanta

I just read that Kandi and AJ broke up in August, and that she had/has his twin daughters because they needed a strong female role model and wanted to stay with Kandi. The article also said that there had been an arrest made in the case (voluntary manslaughter) of a guy who is in the hospital; they did give the arrested person's name.

Perhaps I'm less shocked by his 'promise' than I am by Kim's (a) believing it and (b) parading it around. Doesn't she think people might be sniggering at her behind their smiles? Were it me, well, I don't know, because I'd never believe a married man who promised to leave wifey for me unless we were pretty much in our mutual home and it were a fait accompli. But even then I might be inclined to keep it quiet until I could be properly happy.
