Big Brother (UK) - Season 9

So I don't think there will be much discussion of the British version of Big Brother here on FoRT, but I'm going to make this thread anyway.

The launch night was tonight, and I say it was pretty good. The little secret mission that Big Brother sent Mario, Lisa, Steph, and Luke was very interesting. If you haven't seen it yet, here's what they had to do:

So Mario and Lisa are a couple, and they entered the house first together. Luke and Steph were the next to enter, and right away Mario and Lisa told them about their relationship. Then Big Brother called them to the diary room and sent them all a secret mission: none of the other housemates are to find out that Mario and Lisa are a couple. Because of this, Big Brother created a cover story of Mario and Steph being a couple. So Mario and Steph have to act like a couple, while Lisa and Luke have to make sure that no one finds their secret. At the end of the show, Davina announced that on Sunday, Mario and Steph will have a real wedding in the house... or so they think.

Gosh, it's so devious! Especially the wedding part. If they fail the mission, the four of them (Mario, Lisa, Steph, and Luke) will be up for eviction. If they succeed, then all of the other housemates will be up.

I really don't know why Sylvia was booed. There was nothing wrong in her little video they played. The worst thing that she said in the video was probably that she's trendy/fashionable.

Early favorite: Kathreya! Oh my gosh, I love her already. She was so funny! She's going to be a great housemate, I already know.

btw Crossing Guard, Brig to win? omg! lol that would be like giving me the money infront of a Hermes or LV store, it would be gone before I knew what happened. That girl is so braindead I don't understand how she blinks lol

Ahem... I think she's a great character in the house. I find her funny and entertaining, though she did fade into the background in the past couple of daily shows. But she's still a great housemate IMO. And I see you want Rory to win... well, personally, I really don't like the guy. He's almost on the bottom of my list, only getting edged out by Nobbi. I know Nobbi has been getting a lot of the blame for the bullying of Travis, but IMO Rory and Ben are just as deserving of the blame as he is. They all knew what Travis was getting into when Nobbi asked him that question during "Truth or Dare". Rory and his fellow Kombi Guys are just mean. I'm sorry, that's what I think.

This is really not the place to talk about this, so I'm gonna stop there.

It's hard watching both BBUK and BBAUS at the same time, but that's what I have to do since I love both shows. I have to admit that sometimes it gets boring watching a bunch of people living under one roof, but I still like it.

I don't know if I should put this in spoiler tags or not, but I'm really sad that Mario, Lisa, Steph, and Luke failed their task. I like Mario, Lisa, and Steph, so I don't want to see them leave. But it will most likely be one of them who's walking out the doors.

I know! Kathreya is such an endearing housemate. Some people think she's fake, but I don't care. Even if her goofiness is all just an act, she's entertaining as hell. Her VT was laugh-out-loud hilarious! She even had Davina laughing when she was struggling to go up the stairs. I know it's very early, but I hope she wins.

I don't think we need spoiler tags since it already aired in the UK.

So Steph was the first out, even though Mario was the bookies favorite to go. But I think Steph's fate was sealed when she was the favorite to go early on. People started hating Mario later on, and at that point, Steph already had a lot of votes cast against her.

I'm definitely disappointed that she's the first person to be evicted. I really liked her. Also, she unfortunately continues the pattern of a woman being the first evicted. It has happened every single season.
