| Re: Nashville Star - Season 6 I'm watching. I wonder how being on a network will change the show. Production should be better but will it still be the talent show from the past or will they try and make it more AI'ish? In the past they had original song night(s) and the majority of the singers played instruments. |

| Re: Nashville Star - Season 6 They will still have original song night according to what I have read. This season they said that if the contestant does not write their own original song, they are going to indicate that fact on the show. In the past viewers thought that the contestants wrote the song themselves, which was not always the case. Most of the singers do play instruments, so that part will not change. |

| Re: Nashville Star - Season 6 Of course I loved the group sing to open the show! Poor Taylor Swift, God bless her. Lovely girl but can't sing worth a darn live.

| Re: Nashville Star - Season 6 This Taylor Swift girl's crappy weak voice makes Billy Ray's daughter's crappy weak voice almost sound good in comparison. Almost. Honestly. This new generation of "Teen Stars" is NOT up to par. Britney, Xtina, "Tiffany", even New Kids on the Block, they sang a lot of CRAP (although Xtina thankfully outgrew that), but under that their voices weren't THAT bad. But Miley Cyrus? Taylor Swift? Week, reedy voices, bad dancing, and Disney channel appearances. That seems to be all its about now. Pre-freaking-Teens, not even Teenagers are deciding all this now, and that trend down a few years means its even MORE about pre-packaging (and it was always pretty heavily about that). And man... Billy Ray is the WORST host ever. He SINGS for a living right? So why does he MUTTER into a microphone when doing "hosting" duties?

| Re: Nashville Star - Season 6 You are not the Dixie Chicks. No, you are not. EDIT - Jewel just said it for me. The BIGGEST problem was the lead singer almost fading into the background.
