I didn't see this one. They sure picked a terrible view for that picture. You can't see much of anything!
I would be horribly disappointed if I came home and my living room walls were painted baby boy blue and there was a 70's style art project on the wall. Icky.
I’m haunted a little this evening by feelings that have no vocabulary and events that should be explained in dimensions of lint rather than words.

Both pictures this week were bad. Get a new photographer.
The before was bad, but the after...Not good either.

Hilde said it was like a "gallery". UGH Hilde.
After 3 yrs she still doesn't get the fact that people live in these rooms
I could do better here too!
It occurred to me that no matter how bleak things might seem at times, at least I have a head. ----Stargazer
That's because Hildi didn't put much of anything in there!Originally posted by Zhora

I saw this episode and was appalled. I can't believe Hildi spent all the budget on such barren and shoddy looking room. Also, all the care and attention she spent on that hideous "painting" that you so aptly deemed an "icky 70's style art project" was absurd.
I can't decide which is worse, this or her "Tiffany" room.

She went too overboard with the blue imo.
I know that was the look she was going for, but if you don't happen to like the colour you're stuffed really.
She did give them a decent slip cover for the sofa though, so if they can live with that that's a definite plus.
I believe she removed the back cushions on the sofa, so if they want to put them back they could easily cover them in the curtain fabric. The rest of the fabric could be used to cover an ottaman.
The walls could be painted on a neutral taupe or mushroom shade, pale blue goes very well with neurtrals and they could bring in curtains in a solid taupe shade or, which would probably be nicer, looks for some patterned fabric that included the wall and sofa colours.
They could also use that fabric to make some throw cushions for the sofa.
I would also tell them to repaint the canvasses.
They could simply paint each of them in a different colour, either to compliment of contrast with the colours in the room.
This would add an element of "colour blocking" which is extremely trendy right now.
