Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

So much word!

I can't find my snark hat this morning. My practical hat has gone forward and made some assumptions that Frankie and Johnny get into some hoity toity school with all the rich kids. Here's where the real trouble lies and it falls on those so caring and concerned parents. " " " " - (those are air quotes with absolutely no relevance; just letting a little Ramona out)

Once you're past (maybe) eating zee jelly beans for breakfast and start to get into some real social interaction (providing the kid has mastered speaking and gone beyond mute), how are those kids going to play? They will need to have all things that their classmates have (all electronics, clothing, allowances) as well as having to talk about where they went over the weekend, where their summer/vacation homes are, blah, blah. Then deal with the: where is your driver? You don't have a live in maid? You get the idea. Kids aren't dumb. Not only will they be laughed at for their names, but they'll be known as the poor kids, the posers, whatever kids (and their parents) will come up with. Don't even get my started about inviting people over...Let classmates with some loot get a gander at their digs and it's over. Well, it's already been exposed on national television.

I truly belileve they are setting their kids up for heartbreak and ridicule. Well, it's already begun. That's just been bugging me and I needed to purge. Now I'm going to go back and re-read and just enjoy me zeee snarkz.

I was so impressed that I tried to up my hipness quotient (as if it could be any higher) by combining the two. Picture a breakdancing Ramona with her crucifix (available on the Internet) spinning wildly. Someone yelled, "Make sure he doesn't swallow his tongue." I think I hurt myself and am going for the v-a-i-l ... v -a-l-u-m ... happy pills.

After watching the last episode for a second time, I have a new favorite moment - when Jill tells ("gay husband") Brad that Alex is bringing her husband to the all girls dinner party, he stops talking mid sentence and his eyes pop and he has a great shocked look on his face.

Not to fret. Little François will have all the electronic goodies thanks to Simone grabbing anything forgotten by hotel guests. "No, monsieur, I am sorry we did not find your iPod." Johan? He can do without and amuse himself by picking splinters that he got from the floor. As far as a driver, François can use the hotel limo until Johan gets his chauffeur's license.

Does anyone else think that French waiter resembled gay husband?
And YES! Brad gave the BEST look " " of the season!

They can hitch a ride with Jane Fonda. She was all over them at the opening.

I think the girls may have been ok with Brad coming to the girl's night out. Although I am assuming that he has too much class to do so. Brad at least admits to who he is, Simon should try the same.

Brad's reaction was almost as priceless as Ramona's when Jill stormed out of that fashion show and Ramona was all, "She insulted Luca Luca!!!", in a deadly serious voice, as if Jill had just poured anthrax-laden powder all over the room and locked the guests inside. Ramona's eyes were bulging so hard, I thought one might actually fall out of her head. For weeks afterwards, my friends and I used any excuse to repeat that line, complete with emphasis.

Also, I would pay any amount of money to see an interview with Cyclone, the break dancing instructor, as part of the show. I wonder if he has met The Count?

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

Am I the only person who noticed the complete hypocrisy in Ramona dirty-dancing with that guy at the club, after her having had an absolute cow over that younger (and much prettier) woman merely talking to her husband at that party back in Episode 1?
