Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I looked at the nude photos and it's truly disturbing how utterly below amateur they are. That's my takeaway from it, really. I don't give a hoot that this is a woman who thinks she's haute societe (sorry, can't find the accent symbols) yet posed nude, probably knowing the photos would get out (in fact, wouldn't surprise me if she and Simon leaked them themselves). What shocks me is how truly, truly awfully amateurish the photos are, and how anyone can be so astonishingly unsexy when posing nude! How can I say this - it's as if she's just getting photographed naked, not as if she's posing nude. Know what I mean? It's laughable, and actually par for the course, that the same phonies who don't know how to social climb correctly don't even know how to pose in the nude properly!

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City You know, I could understand if she did these photos when she was young and stupid. Well, I guess that didn't make much sense, because I think she is middle aged and stupid now. Anyways, I don't mean to be too prudish, but when you become a mom, I believe your standards and values should be a little bit higher than hers seem to be. Ok, I am stepping down from my moral soapbox now...

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City [quote=Juliana;2914174;]This is from an article written in 2001. A snob is defined as "one who affects an offensive air of self-satisfied superiority in matters of taste or intellect." The underlying commonality between all the aforementioned categories of snobs is shallowness coupled with a consummate insecurity, the need to constantly belittle others in a myriad of ways to make one feel better about oneself. It is often stated that the measure of a person's character or class is how they treat those who either are beneath them in a social situation, like a person in the service industry, or those from which they can derive nothing. People of class, of character, treat everyone equally, not based on fame, wealth, intellect, social standing or the pretence of such. In essence, that is what being a snob is all about, a lack of class. Lizzie Grubman, despite all of daddy's money, couldn't buy an ounce of dignity, not that she probably tried. Ironically it was dear Lizzie that wound up acting the part of the 'white trash' in the mess the little brat created, despite her snobbishness of coming from a family with a lot of money. That Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are a famous couple is one thing. They are. But how classless, let alone obnoxious, is it to have to announce it to everyone? The very idea of living one's life in a constant state of superficial comparisons with others to prop up one's frail self-esteem seems to the more secure casual observer to be somewhat ridiculous. While that may be so, it is the Duh and Igno approach to prove to the world, and to themselves, a reason for self-worth. It is at best highly immature, but don't expect those who stumble through life acting this way to easily surrender the pretense of their own importance in society. For all the ridicule that snobs rightly deserve, apparently it is better to be known as a snob than a Duh. Thanks for reminding me about Lizzie and her horrible acts in the Hamptons. She was such a mess and her show was beyond disbelief. I'm shocked she hasn't wound up as a friend of one of these women. By the way, wasn't it her stepfather, her mom's hubby, whose name and bank account she tarnished??? Let's get Lizzie back into the mess of the NYC social circle. I'd like to see her and Ramona go a few rounds.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City OK, Wait a minute! Did I miss something? Where is that picture? I have got to see it. Hope it's a banana-hammock with the light cowboy boots and the gold cummerbund!

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Oh why do I keep clicking the links? Alex naked is disturbing. I can believe she is a model and did commercial work like Sears ads, but she isn't sexy so those porny shots are just icky. The only way I see Alex and Simon not coming back is if the other housewives rebel and refuse to continue with them on the show. Alex and Simon are so incredibly inappropriate and clueless they really need their own show.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City If you go to Goliath Images' Web site (think: Getty Images for the Erotic set - and very NSFW!), type in "Alex M." in the Search box and all will be revealed (erm, literally). <Kurtz>The howwuh, the howwuh ...</Kurtz> ![]() What amazes me about Alex doing this book (i.e., Bob Coulter's Bad Girls Hotel) is that I've done things in my life where I've thought, "No worries, not like I'm running for public office or anything." Whereas Alex in all her social climbing glory is running for public office in a way - social climbing is just a different form of it.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I feel sorry for Bethany. My husb and I have been married for 34 yrs. We've had many struggles and got through a couple of separations through the years. But he always let me have the "desires of my heart". I can't imagine (forgot his name) not to letthing Bethany have just one baby and not depriving her of that. We have 3 beautiful children, now in their mid-20's...each in their own way have given us fits... bottom line is they are my heart. I think she ought to dump him...if he was "that into her" he would let her have just one.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Did anyone else notice how Simon interupted Alex and Bethany at the birthday party? Bethany was pouring out her heart and he says to Alex something about when to serve the cake...could he be that controlling where he gets jealous if she is talking with someone else and he's not included? I am probably way off base...hope so.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Alex and Simon...there sure is a "lid for every pot". Actually, they might be very nice people, but geesh...the insecure social climbing...so sad really... I can't wait to hear the results of their kid's intelect.
