Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Maintaining a professional relationship (calling you by a formal name) with people in the service industry (while treating them with courtesy because they are human beings and have worth) is not classless. Now, I didn't notice the driver offer his hand and LuAnn rejecting it... if that happened, then yeah, she's a classless ahole. I was thinking today about why I care about this show. See, I live in the rural South (my choice) because I hate people. I grew up in a large city-- so I'm no country bumpkin (not that there's anything wrong with that). I see these women and their lifestyle as one that intrigues me, but that I don't want to have. When Ramona says, "There is a certain chicness about us and women want to be us" I chuckle to myself and think (sure, go on believing that Ramona....). Watching these ladies in their lives makes me so happy to have my life. And that's sad about Claremont. It looks to be an exceptional school.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I don't want to look. Naked anorexia isn't sexy. I'd probably want to collect money in a milk carton for her.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I loved how in their "limo" they had to discuss the ticket stubs so they could get a tax deduction, is this really the first thing on one's mind when you're on the way to opening night at the Met in your "limo"... by the way, did you notice they had a "limo"? Ugh.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City How dare you! We do not serve zee "jelly beans" for petit déjeuner. François with his high IQ only eats bonbons gélifiés or, as you peasants say, fèves de gelée. Alors, alas and alack, Johan scoffs down zee jelly beans like zee rudest of limo drivers. Mon Dieu! He cannot be our child. Why does Mrs. Countess Mrs. De Looselips in a fit of egalitarian fervor defend starved and probably brain-dead models from ignorant Ramona's ignorant outburst, but is aghast when a limo driver offers his hand in what he perceives is politeness? What happened to liberté, égalité, fraternité? I had a dream of Countess #4 and the Count in his Nehru jacket standing curbside in a New York rain. A limo driver with nothing better to do (like us) happened to watch the show and sees a large puddle in front of them and... Oh, the humanity!

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I looked up the article on the Claremont Prep School, once again I see this show just being used as a commercial for businesses to find more business. I'm sure they will get more students now that they have been on a "popular" television show. Just like I am sure that Ramona's husband's family business will have sales soaring since she gave out the website on the show.

Simon on the Barbie Isn't Simon Australian? They pride themselves on being the down-to-earth, unpretentious criminal outcasts of Europe. I've known many and, though they're not all like Steve Erwin, they're more like Steve than Simone. I never met any like Simone. I'd love to see the late Steve-o grab Simone in a headlock. "Crikey, he's a fussy one, idn't he?" Aside: my favorite Aussie is Jimmy Barnes. He's done some great singing though largely ignored here.
