This show is maddening but hilarious. Everyone keeps ragging on the Cobble Hill couple Alex and Simon and how unattractive she is, etc. etc. Listen, she is 5 foot 11" is very thin and looks like Nicole Kidman. They are renovating a row house, and both work. They aren't making millions and aren't likely to either based on their jobs, unless they can use this show to project them into some other venue.
Bet it won't be long before they have website with viewings of renovation, the wife's wardrobe, etc. Voyeur stuff. Let them have fun. I am sitting in high end suburbia watching a big screen tv with nothing better to do than chat on this board at 10:30. Unless you count the school blacktie school fundraisers (which I ignore) I don't run around from high end restaurant to fashion show to party in one of 100 outfits and 50 pair of shoes and expensive bags. I don't have the interest and it is too tiring. Let them have fun while they're not trapped in homework, tutors, sports and college entrance woes.

How I agree with you!!! But she does not look like nor act like Nicole ( who is horrible and a diva). Alex needs a wake-up call and should be happy that she has a devoted hubby and nice kids.

I'm sorry, but I think that is rather an insult to Nicole Kidman!

Very interesting insight! I noticed that they don't have too much of a "connection" per se. When Avery enters the room, you can just see Mario light up, and yet, not so much when he is around Ramona the skanky spaz. Hmmmm

I haven't noticed anyone else comment on this, so I'm wondering if I am the only one who noticed. When Alex and Simon were at the restaurant for breakfast with their kids, it appeared that Johann was having an absolute fit. Simon paid it no attention, although Johann was in his lap at the time, as he was too busy watching Alex peruse the Style section for a notice. Jeeze.... Alex paid Johann no attention either. Is Fran-swah the golden child or what???
