Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

Well, since she only lost 11 pounds, I don't think that would be difficult. She's a teen wanting to do teen things, which probably means eating whatever her friends eat.

Well when you use a liquid diet to lose weight, the weight tends to come right back on when you eat solid foods again, because it is not really fat loss. The poor kid, if her mom is really worried about her, she should teach her about healthy lifelong eating habits. I am just hoping this girl doesn't grow up with a serious eating disorder after this. I would rather they just leave her alone and let her be normal.

I thought Bethenny was carrying a Birken bag.

Alex was to busy pulling away from Slimon to really notice her Walmart hoopies. I think she might be just as skeeved out as many of us are. Her acting ability is being put to major tests!

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I have a question.
I may have misunderstood Ramona, but didn't she say that she had JUST talked her husband into selling the jewelry online? I had to go and check it out, the site has a copyright of 2004.

I assume they are making their real money from the TV show, since the first link on the jewelry site says "real housewives" when you go to click on it.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I have a friend who lists top name handags on ebay. She got really burned a couple of years ago to the tune of about $17000 on a irkin that she sold for a friend's sister. Fake! Big mess and she doesn't like to do them anymore. It was so good that even she could not tell which is amazing when she sees so many.

Anyway I have noticed Jill and Bethenny carrying nice bags but have not oticed Alex even having any purse. I guess Sleazemon has all the cash and credit cards. As far as Alex's blog stating that she would rather spend the hour with her kids than in the hair salon, well maybe we can email one of the ladies and ask them to suggest to Simon that Alex get her hair styled. If the Countess mentioned it to him he would drag her there.

The previews show Moana going off on Simon. i agree that it was suposed to be a girl's night and he should have not gone but she showed herself again to be totally without any class whatsoever. And she speaks funny. i think it's because her eyes bug out and they are yanking on her vocal cords.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

This is a horrible thing to say, but if Bethenny is so obsessed with having a kid and a husband, why doesn't she aim for a guy a decade or so older than her? Someone whose kids are mostly grown and so he is more willing to start a second family. A guy her age who has three small children isn't likely to want to start another college (or preschool) fund anytime soon. But I guess having an older husband isn't a part of the image that she wants to create for her brand.

At first I had some sympathy for Bethenny but now she seems a little obnoxious and as self-absorbed and obsessed as the rest of them. She was a bit rude at Alex's birthday party. On the other hand, no one looked too happy to be at that party.

I wonder if she would have any luck finding a young chap who doesn't have any kids yet. He would think he had the world by the tail. Ok, never mind, I already feel sorry for the poor kid.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

OK, here's what I want to know. And maybe it's already been covered, but I can't trawl through this whole site: Where exactly do Simon and Alex get there money from? It's seems to be in fits and spurts. They clearly don't have as much money as the other couples, yet they still seem to have more than there combined salaries would allow.... He's a hotel manager? She's a design-something-or-other for (how chic) Victoria's Secret? Someone's dropping money on clothes, and they're prepared to shell out $40K per kid for that school downtown that Jill's pushing. The black Amex? Seems like a lot for what they must earn. Is there a trust fund they can only dip into for certain things, like education, then they just blow what they make by sticking it on their backs? If they had real bucks, they wouldn't be living in that crappy apartment. They'd be living in a gorgeous Brownstone in Fort Green! Right Juliana? According to NY Mag, it has the most beautiful brownstone lined street in ALL of New York City!

I just don't get Alex and Simon's cash flow. Something's going on, but I can't put my finger on it.
