Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

Having rewatched the reunion shows .....I just want to say...."Can't we just talk about stuff...this is boring" on here. please read with a.) tongue in cheek and b.) with the attitude of a two year old who is way past nap time.
Also, did anyone else get the impression the nitwit didn't vote anyone off the show so then she could come back and say...."look how nice I was ...I wasn't mean to anyone". My personal opinion is by that time she probably couldn't remember anyone's name anymore.
I thought the "Gloria" segment was great and I agree that Ally is really beautiful. Very pretty eyes. As much as I am not a Silex fan, she did handle the "Simon is gay" thing with some sort of dignity. I can actually see Simon with a rainbow flag on his forehead if he was/is gay. They may not admit to being "social climbers" but they are honest about most other things. Of course all of this is JMHO.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I liked their two gay friends and their son. Funny how his adoption came by so quickly and they had to call Alex and ask for a list of what things to buy. One of the guys said that his mom bought out the nearest ToysR Us!

Then both commented that they didn't think Simon was gay, but they both would love his shoe collection!

I really didn't like Simon and Alex in the first season, but they sure did a nice turnaround in season two. Sure, they can both be over the top but they are harmless and seem able to laugh at themselves (the tennis match, etc.)

I agree with you about LF not wanting to vote anyone off so she could be a martyr (sp?)....but she announced Jill as her favorite housewife. I think this is because Jill really seems to be the powerhouse on this show. It would be a good thing to always be on Jills good side..

Does anyone know if LF was talking about Jill A or her ex hubby when she mentioned talking to them about this guy she beat up..?? I know his name is spelled Gilles, and maybe it is pronounced Jill.

She didn't play the "Oh God no, being gay would be bad!" or the insincere "not that ther'es anything wrong with it" answer. She simply acknowledged knowing Simon for who he is.
Veruka, I always enjoy your posts. You have such a way with words. You must be a writer! I also liked Alex's response. She always seems so calm. Of course, anyone in the middle of this screaming match would seem calm. Good gosh, these women would give me a headache if I were around them for a long period of time.

Except Alex. I probably couldn't tolerate the rest, but Alex is very likeable.

I am fairly certain she was talking about the ex. It is a French/Canadian name that is pronounced "Jill" in the U.S. but in the other countries has the accent in a different place giving it a different pronunciation. I am not an expert on this...just used to watch alot of Hockey Night in Canada with my brother and there was a goalie with the same first name.
Also, another give away was the way she said she trusted "Gilles" and that she always asked for advice. I don't think she was that good of friends with Jill Z. to be able to have said that about this situation.
I did hear/read that Jill Z. is no longer her fav. Apparently Jill Z.'s two seconds of fame in Kellyland is over. I'll bet she's hearbroken over that one.

Gloria, I find kinda funny. I didn't expect her to have a different opinion than her daughter about the media wars with Silex. Also, I really think Ally is gorgeous.
Funny how "is from New Jersey and it shows" is a put down...

But when her daughter said "Simon drinks too much" it was merely an opinion she had every right to express.

Not, you know, a put down.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

I'm suprised that Kelly wants to return next season, who exactly will film scenes w/ her, other than Alex, I think they are disgusted by her. Of course her pea sized brain probably thinks she can film next season showing just her & her own friends, while the other housewives do their thing separate from her; what a ditz. As all the housewives have issues w/ each other, they can still come together and film w/ one another; but I doubt they'll give Kelly their time again.

Interesting that Bethenny mentioned that Kelly made it on-time to Hedi Klum's Halloween party, that totally blows Kelly's "I was w/ my kids" excuse.

I wouldn't be suprised if Kelly had been on something during that reunion show, as she made no sense at all, actually commented on how "different" she and Betheny are, then a few minutes goes by and she mentions how much alike she and Betheny are (and what was up w/ the, "You have brunette hair I have blond hair" thing about?), it was the ramblings of a person who probably had a little something-something -if you know what I mean.
