| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City If you're missing the Real Housewives of New York and their over-the-top sense of entitlement, you should see tonight's Real Housewives of New Jersey. There's a preview clip at BravoTV.com of Dina Manzo hiring a new assistant, a Mini-Me to her Dr. Evil (she even has the hairless Mr. Bigglesworth cat). Go to BravoTV.com, click on "Videos," and watch the one labeled "Dina's New Assistant." Totally worth your time, I assure you. |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City The housewives kept hinting in the Reunion Special about Ramona's past. Jill mentioned it and how she wouldn't get into it on the show. Bethenny said that she 'couldn't go there' but that Ramona had her own problems too. LuAnn referenced it as well. And I believe that it might relate to the argument with Ramona, Simon and Mario, where Simon was saying Ramona/Mario were hypocrites and hiding behind their religion and that they are nothing like they make themselves out to be. Anyone have any idea what that's all about? What does Ramona have in her past? |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Reunion thoughts... 1) Kelly- She's a dissmissive airhead, while explaining that she was dating a younger man (the one she claims set her up on abuse charges) while filming, Bethenny quickly stopped her to ask why he was never seen or heard of during filming the season, Kelly dismisses her and says she'll get to that later, but of course she never did answer B's question. This show has made her a laughing stock, the bad economy has rightfully hit her in the ass (she's lost her biggest model contract, her house is up for sale, etc). Her jobs have always revolved around bulls***, she's a celeb in her head. Is this woman just going to live off her divorce settlement, while doing nothing but living a life of pure shallow bulls***? 2) Luann- She came across so fake, trying so hard to represent class and manners, when she's sorely lacking in those qualities. It probably kills her that Bethenny has a best seller, I have yet to hear any good press about her book. Go to amazon books and you'll find people hating on this book big time in the reviews section. How can this woman think her life is any more exciting than anyone else's? 3) Ramonna- Rude, desparate to peddle those stupid things she's selling. She doesn't have beauitful skin (look at Ramonna's face and compare her skin to Cate Blanchett's skin), she may be 50 or in her 50's, but so is Michelle Pfeiffer and Christie Brinkely, Ramonna give it up. She's insecure about her looks, so peddling skincare is her way of feeling like one of the pretty girls. Betheney - I liked her quick witt at the reunion show, but I think she's a reality TV junkie, she uses the show to make her rich and famous; and when you do that, I think you lose the true "reality" of it all, you don't know if she's just putting on a show for the cameras or is this the real her? She was on Martha Stewart Apprentice, and I got that "I'll do anything to be famous" vibe back then too. She shares more in common w/ Silex than she knows. Alex- I think she was well composed on the reunion. However, I think she and Simon try to use the show to make themselves celebs, they want to be seen everywhere; and as Jill says they don't ever contribute, they just ride coat-tails of others. Simon probably longs to quit his hotel manager job, so he can be paid to give interviews or do appearances, etc. I would like this show a lot better if Simon wasn't filmed, let the focus be on Alex. Jill - She told it like it was at the reunion, but not in a rude way like Ramonna. Jill is ok, but I sense she's a pittbull when it comes to pushing Zarin Fabrics on the show. I'm so tired of these women using a show to plug businesses, products, jewelry, books -it's not an infomercial. Plus, Jill's head has become a bit big, I heard she flipped out when she was denied a discount at a clothing store, and told the store they wouldn't get her show in their store ever again. Overall, I think the best Real Housewives shows are those that are in their 1st season, you don't see them peddling their crap on America, it's just about their life, so maybe Bravo should consider replacing the casts (all of them) w/ fresh new blood every time. Let's face it, after the 1st season aires they stop being real and become all about the celebrity, what's the fun in watching that? |

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City Quote:
Lulu - Just as delusional. She's an American Indian. What she wasn't born from her mother. Her mother is french. She grew up in a not that bad community in Connecticut. Went to good schools and modeled some. Emily Post was not all that. Marona - Please this chick has demons just like a lot of people. I don't care what you grew up with, boundaries are boundaries. Have more respect for others like she'd like for herself. Lady "B" - She had it rough and she makes no bones about it. Sometimes just because people make a baby just doesn't make them "parents". When you live by your own strength and wit long enough you learn the difference. She's snarky but not really mean. She tells it how she sees it with a little humor. With a little humor you don't have to view life that seriously. Silex - Alex chooses grace, intellect and humor as well. She came off badly (Simon as well) on the first season for sure. I think they saw their inclusion in the Bravo housewife franchise as an opportunity, just like the other housewives. I also think they tried to give the audience what the produces initially asked of them. No one knew it would backfire on them. So with the next season they did what any real opportunist would have done, they cleaned up the social climbing in the next season. I think what Alex said about her husband being who he is (straight) is true. I have a couple of people in my life not far from Simon's personality that rings bells in their choices in fashion but are straight as a bell. Hate to quote Leatherface but "who cares?". Team Jill - Jill was a little over the top regarding the charity. She let the event and her ego go to her head and that's why she acted the way that she did with Lady B. Other than that she and her mom are ok and I'm glad she apologized to Lady B.

| Re: The Real Housewives of New York City I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the two hour reunion. Kelly was a hot mess and I loved every minute of it. I thought Jill and Bethanny were great and I was impressed at Alex keeping to her self and not getting involved. And Ramona...wow...you really do have crazy eyes ![]()
