Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

i guess its safe to say that alex and simon are the couple everyone loves to hate...something doesnt seem right with this show, it seems like at least one person would post on this site saying "they know", or they "know someone" who knows someone on this show and attempt to defend them or confirm what we all think, which leads me to think they may not as real as advertised...it seem that each couple confirms a different negative sterotype we have about scummy new york socialclimbers...

Please Bethany stop feeding the Gargoyle!!! It only makes them meaner!! Alex and Simon use their props er..kids like designer luggage. I would like to be a fly on the wall when they are teens Frank and George will unravel the Von Peepin myth by refusing to eat sushi, not wear pj's to school, not speaking French, not wrestling Mommy and insisting their aupairs speak english to them.

Is it me or does this show have a bitchier vibe than TRHOOC? The OC ladies seemed to be less mean to one another, more bemused, more prone to spend time and money together, more like real friends. These New Yorkers seem to have only just met.

Also Mario may be a cheater but he's really sexy and I think he's trying to be a good dad.

I think part of that is the difference in casting. RHOOC was cast looking for women who lived in the same community. Because it was a smaller group, some of them knew each other already, and those that didn't know each other likely were familair with each other in passing. For RHONYC, they were looking for women throughout NYC. It was a much much wider circle they were choosing from, so the established relationships were less likely.

And one more thing - what's up with Ramona's face? Besides it being so blotchy, (meow) there's a redness around her upper lip and chin. And even her cheeks.

It's like she had some kind of a "treatment" right before she did her scenes and the interviews. Either she had a dermabrasion or she just got a facial wax to remove her upper lip hairs and chin hairs.

Anyhoo - that's bothered me when I watch her. Amongst sooooo many other things.

Ha!

I would bet my last dollar that it is Botox that is causing the blotchiness, plus her eyes are so wide open that she can't even blink. Those are the muscles which appear to be paralyzed-not a good thing, Ramona! That Botox is poison but yet people do this every single day. I thinbk Avery is just a lovely, poised, intelligent young lady with lovely manners and a sense of decorum and any parent would be proud to have her as a daughter.I feel badly for her when Ramona acts like a fool and jackass and pretends to be a "buddy" instead of a parent. Kids want a parent, and especially one to be proud of,who sets a good example. Ramona and LuAnn had better wake up. LuAnn should never lie to her children as she did to her son when she was going out for the evening. He loves his mother and he would like to have her home in the evening. His father is gone for weeks at a time and LuAnn is ,basically, the only parent he knows. A woman in her 40's going to clubs with her 2o year old niece just does not cut it for me.

Re: The Real Housewives of New York City

actually i dont see anything wrong with the count-ass going out clubbing every once and awhile, everyone need a break, even a ..gulp 40 year old...you know 40 is the new 30...and it was pretty evident she was a fish out of water, i think she did it for the show, and even if she didnt thats ok too..and kids do not need to know everything thats going on, any one that has children has been in that situation..i cant believe im taking up for luann, but she didnt do anything wrong, this time!
